As we start a new month. My goals for April

in #goals6 years ago

After March, being a successful month. I thought it was a good idea, this month to set some small goals what I aim to achieve.

I discovered last month, that I am really enjoying writing longer articles where I am doing some research, including referencing in the posts. So it may well be that I post less articles, but the articles I do post will be more detailed and better quality than just for the sake of posting up an article. Personally my advice to anyone is unless you have content that you can regularly produce, better to plan well thought out decent articles.

Steem Price

I saw that my value of my account increased so I checked coin market cap this morning and saw steem coming back $2.07 per 1 steem according to coin market cap around 36% increase.

Checking the news I saw an article, which Goldmach Sachs stated that the entrance of major banks will increase the liquidity and price of Bitcoin. Whether this will have a positive turn on the current bullish market, would yet to be determined. Seeing as the whole purpose of crypto, as a decentralised currenty is to not involve financial institutions and could have an overall negative stance.

The awesomeness that is @trufflepig.

Whilst I had not seen the original article, recently one or two of my posts have had a bot mention from @trufflepig. Thought up by @smcaterpillar, the aim of this AI is to find well written posts and to include them in its curation, the other reason that I like it is it predicts the value and vote of what a post should be.

A few people on discord, have been asking about the mysterious trufflepig and what we thought about it. Over all it appears to be welcomed, we can only hope that the bigger eyes will look favourably on this bot, in the hopes of rewarding people what they should be getting for well written out posts. I can only hope to continue, to write decent content and that the curators receive it well and I continue to build my self on the platform.

Plankton to Minnow.

So right now I have under 40 SP, to go to get to Minnow. Ok its not a big deal but it is for me, its a recognition of all the hard work that I am putting in, alongside taking the next step into my journey. Whilst I would like to hit 500 SP by mid April, I am aiming over all for the end of the month. So until I hit the 500 everything earned will be powered up to SP in the meantime.

Initiatives.

I am going to continue working on the SOS (shoutout Saturdays) initiative, to try and build this, as some people seem to think its a challenge they have to do and that its not an ongoing thing.

What I am trying to show people is that to succeed, networking is most definitely one of the best ways in which to gain a readership. My last post as an example I just got the most wonderful present. I actually did not promote this post, only because the last few days we have had a guest and I did not have much time for curation.

But still it has gained attraction from regular readers, who are enjoying my content. Which is why I believe that the SOS initiative is a good idea, to raise profiles, gain friendship and find good content, and not solely rely on the purpose of bot votes.

I hope to continue to come up with some other ideas to help the platform, right now I recognise that the area that I live in could really benefit from steem. And this month I will be writing a more extensive article on the problems and possible solutions.

With the help of @enchantedspirit also soon a newsletter will start to be published featuring contributors from the paranormal steemcommunity. We are looking for regular contributors who would like to feature articles, but this also can be spiritual related along side paranormal. So such things as Tarot, divination, mediumship, astrology, healing, crystals etc. Feel free to chat to me on discord if you are interested!!

Lots happening on the personal front also.

In between all this work and networking, I am having to find time to catch up on the personal stuff. Spring time is here and I am going to be growing some vegetables again this year, so I need to get the garden ready for sowing.

On top of that we are renovating the old barn at the back to turn into a new living room, and office above for me. I have just been up there to have a look and the views of the mountains are amazing I must take some pictures as I realised I have another post in the making.

Then on top of that we have a friend who has arrived and actually has moved to Bulgaria also, but his belongings are not coming till Friday so he is here with us until then. Poor guy is wandering around looking for things to do. But the good thing is he offered to do all the cooking, who am I to decline such an offer. I mean I can cook but if I don't have to cook then I won't

The sad thing is with all this going on we have not yet done anything for our wedding anniversary which was last Friday, so we still have to find time to go out for a meal for that also, there are simply not enough hours in the day for all of this.

So in closing readers, I hope you have a wonderful April. I send sunshine to you where ever you are. We are out of winter now lets really have some fun on steemit this forthcoming summer.

Have a great day, thank you for reading my posts as always I love you all an appreciate your support.

Thank you for reading

xoxo

Your initiatives and goals are inspiring. Best wishes for you to reach all of them, and increasing in SP too!

Thank you so much @happycrazycon that means a lot to me and I am so glad that you find them inspriring.

Your idea of posting longer, higher quality articles is great. It's much better to write something people will enjoy reading and share versus smaller chunks of text that aren't as helpful or engaging.

I haven't seen trufflepig around, but he looks like someone I'd like to attract to my own posts! That is cool he can predict the value of the post.

You have lots of goals for April, I admire you for putting them out there! I should really sit down and think of some things I would like to accomplish for the month too.

I am glad to hear this this maybe some what inspired you to think of your own goals for the month on the platform, no matter how small they may be they are still good to go for. I believe you will do well, in doing this @keciah

Setting goals is a great way to accomplish what you intend!

I also plan to start a tiny vegetable garden in my back yard this month!

@grow-pro has a series called "Growing money in your yard" you might enjoy!

Have a great April!

Wow that is a great resource @thatsweeneyguy thank you so much I did not know about that and it would prove useful for sure.
I hope to be able to follow your progress of your vegetable garden, no matter how small the pride that comes from it is amazing.

Good luck with all your plans, especially the veggie growing. 💚 But somehow I think you do not need luck, you are a very determined person and all of this will be no trouble for you at all.

Awww @zen-art you always give me so much confidence, you are a dear true friend thank you for your continued support.

Congrats on your anniversary! I am glad to see that you enjoy writing longer articles that involve doing a bit of research. I look forward to reading more of your posts. Good luck with the paranormal steem project!

Thanks @lymepoet the cogs have been stirring today hopefully I will be able to produce some really good posts this month.

This is such a great post @crazybgadventure. I love what you are doing here with your goals and I am glad that I can watch you achieve them! I really like what @trufflepig is doing and I do hope that some bigger users take a look at it. It seems to work really well at finding those quality post that deserve the attention. I am so excited for the newsletter that will be starting soon!

I know right that newsletter is going to be amazing... a collective of us getting together producing great content I will be starting that very soon, haven't forgotten :)

I have been checking discord like 5 times a days to see when the meeting will be, lol super great idea. I'm so excited.

So it may well be that I post less articles, but the articles I do post will be more detailed and better quality than just for the sake of posting up an article. Personally my advice to anyone is unless you have content that you can regularly produce, better to plan well thought out decent articles.

I wrote a bit about that in my most recent post, about being an introvert. I want to create valuable content and support people who do the same, and I want to engage thoughtfully and authentically with others. For me, that means I write slightly longer posts and don't post every day, because I put a lot of thought and work into my posts. I liked your Hammer Horror write-up, and if that's the direction you take things, I think it could be really great.

Oh wow that is such wonderful feedback @tessargabrielle thank you so much for giving me your thoughts on this, its great to hear the advice is so well taken.

Congrats on the trufflepig features! That's awesome! Give you motivation because you know more and more people have seen your posts.

EVERY little bit of sbd and SP/VP gives you a boost too. No matter if you're a redfish, plankton, minnow or closing in on being a little dolphin. Every milestone should be celebrated.

I love when people write posts about their goals; it gives me incentive for pushing myself as well.

Sounds like your personal life (garden and the barn project) is quite busy and these will make some fabulous future posts.

Yes absolutely future posts in the making, suddenly I now have a list as long as my arm after these awesome comments @goldendawne thank you I will be keeping you guys posted.

Congratulations! This post has been chosen as one of the daily Whistle Stops for The STEEM Engine!
