Her body was relaxed on the floor. She could feel the coldness of the tiles beneath her and a hot breeze of air coming through the window gently massaging her neck. Even blinking was hard, let alone anything else. Sometimes your emotions get the best of you and you feel defeated. Defeated and abandoned by your rational mind. So much love was directed her way, artificial love that was more an admiration than anything else. A deep sigh left her body as tears came rolling down. There was no expression on her beautiful face, she was like a doll, static and frozen in her thoughts. Tears were just a nervous reflex, she didn't even realize they were there. Everything was just an illusion. Shallow expressions of devotion with bittersweet memories of her past life. Alone in the crowd, with people jumping over her with high pitched laughter not caring about her, not caring about anything. This was her choice, her responsibility and her doing. Noone else could be blamed. Blaming someone else would be good. Blaming someone else would drive the guilt and remorse away.

Could I leave... Am I capable of escaping... Where to anyway... Everywhere would be the same...

This was my entry for the freewrite challenge organized by @mariannewest, the theme was "California". The only rule was to set a timer for 5 minutes and write until the time runs out.
