Weekend Freewrite - 12/22/2018 - The turning

"To help you get better, more coordinated, I have a plan for you." The voice was like nails on a chalkboard to his ears and all he wanted was to find a way out of there.

"I have to go back. I promise Amy I will be going back to her no matter what happen. Give me seventy two hours. I will go through whatever plan you have for me. Just seventy two hours." Pleaded Adrian.

"We don't have seventy two hours. Each and every minute is crucial. I will give you twenty four hours. Meet me at the basement of Hamilton Corporation. Remember, you have twenty fours." Said the mysterious guy with red eyes.

Without hesitating, Adrian left disappearing in the dark alley.

"Vince, I will follow him." Said the lady standing next to the mysterious guy.

"If he shows any sign, bring him back immediately. Be careful Camellia, the Baron maybe onto him as well." Said Vince.

It's almost dawn. Two hours had passed. Adrian sat beside Amy in her bed. Caressing her hair.

"I'm sorry dear. I have to leave tonight. I need to settle something really important. Once it's done, I will never leave you again. This is the last, I promise."

"Can't you take me with you?" Asked Amy.

Suddenly, Adrian's face started to turn pale. He looked like he's in a lot of pain. He started to breathe heavily.

"What's happening? Are you alright, Adrian?"

"I feel like hundreds of gulls hovered inches above my head, making their shrill repetitive cries. Ahhh..." Cried Adrian.

Seeing this outside the balcony, Camellia jumped in. With a quick blow, she hit Adrian from the back.

"Shut up. And if you want to help, keep it up." Said Camellia before Amy can say anything.

Amy nodded and quickly grabbed her coat and followed Camellia to her car.

"Is Adrian gonna be alright? What is wrong with him? Who are you? Where are we going? Why..."

"You will get your answers when we are there. Now just keep an eye on him. Jab him if he wakes up." Said Camellia and she passed Amy a syringe filled with a blue neon liquid.

Amy took the syringe with one hand and held on tightly on Adrian with another.

Ten minutes later, the car drove into the carpark of Hamilton Corporation. Amy and Camellia got Adrian down into the basement.

Vince was already waiting for them there. "Put him into the coffin now." Ordered Vince.

Vince took out an ornate dagger and pierced into Adrian's chest.

Amy couldn't believe her eyes, she screamed and dashed forward. Camellia took her arm and with a gentle squeeze, her arm broke.

"Noooooo..."

"Quiet! Vince is helping Adrian. Don't mess around. Vince needs to concentrate and perform the ritual to complete the turn. If you make another move, I am gonna break your other arm." Camellia said coldly.

Amy was so scared and lost. But there's nothing she can do. She stood quietly aside trying to fight her pain.

After half an hour, Vince closed the coffin and turned to Amy.

"Come here. Give me your arm." Said Vince.

Vince took her broken arm gently. She felt a warm tickling running through her arm. And the pain was gone.

"Adrian should be awake in six hours time. Now follow Camellia and take some rest and come back later." Ordered Vince.

Six hours later, Amy went back to the basement to find Adrian standing right in front of her. She noticed something different of Adrian.

His eyes... So red... He got fangs... But he's still Adrian. The Adrian she had loved and known for so many years. Adrian saw her. He hugged her tightly.

"Will you still wanna stay with me? Will you still love me for I am now not human anymore."

"Human or vampire, you are still you. I love you."

"Ahem... I know I may sound rude, but we got no time to lose. Adrian, you need to get to the training ground now. You need to get trained on how to use your newly acquired power. And you, Amy, you need to be at the library to get debriefed. The Baron is not gonna go easy on any of you if he found out things doesn't turn out his way. We need to be prepared." Said Vince.
