@grumpycat, I woke up this morning and saw that you upvoted my post, and your other account @madpuppy upvoted me too. Yes, they we're powerful upvotes, but I have to ask you....

I've been pondering over all the different reasons as to why you upvoted me, and here's what I came up with...
You want me to he on your side? Sorry, I'm passionate about freedom, and we wouldn't get along. You insult me. Do you really think I can be bribed? You don't know me at all.
You thought I was cute? Um, set your libido to the side for a second and see what I was actually saying about you.
You're trying to silence me? Sorry pussycat, I might be a sweet little naive ball if positivity most if the time, but when someone treads on my value system, there's no stopping me.
You're upvoting it, just to downvote it later? I'm already expecting it.
There's a glitch in the matrix? Maybe, but don't your systems have the ability to determine between a pro @grumpycat post and an anti @grumpycat post?
You were drunk, and you thought you were flagging me? Sober up buddy, you had one job.
You're trying to throw us off and confuse us? You don't make any sense, so it's working, you twisted kitty.
You're a glutton for punishment? There's got to be a good psychiatrist around somewhere in your area. You need help.
You like the bad publicity? Why would you want to be infamous? You could actually do some good with all that SP.

If you really cared about spam, you wouldn't downvote quality posts
If you really cared about the 3.5 day rule, you wouldn't go around downvoting posts before 3.5 days

I don't care if what I'm countering was purchased before or after 3.5 days, it's the irresponsible bots putting pressure on.
@snowpea, I've seen enough bid bot abuse in the last few days that it really helps me understand the bigger picture of what @grumpycat is doing.
Here is an example of a vote abusing account that I have started a flagging campaign against.

Grumpycat, if you have a opportunity, please add these accounts to you list of those facilitating bid bot abuse by upvoting content without value. I have tagged and requested they unvote. One exception is @lovejuice from @Aggroed. His team says they will be implementing a blacklist but no ETA as far as I know.
Also, one recommendation that I have for you in regard to the complaints by minnows is to consider using an algorithm to tone down voting power on disciplinary flags of minnows/plankton that are not using GC compliant bots so the damage is not disprortionate. VP should be toned up for high rep members as they should be held to a higher standard as well. Bottom line, I support you disciplining plankton to whales for supporting bid bot abusers but would suggest that punishment is adjusted by users vests maybe.
I can help with this code if you would like to go this route.
P.S. Not a fan of bid bots. Big fan of organic voting and manual curation.

They can choose to patronize abuse enabling bid bots that are quickly eroding the platform (and face pushback from those who would see fit to use their freedom to oppose this patronage ie @grumpycat)
... or choosing a path that is cognizant of long term macro consequences of that support and stepping up to do something about it.
Folks, please, use your freedom wisely and stop supporting abuse facilitating bid bots. This isn't going to last forever if we continue empowering abuse on that scale.
Bidbots are using %20 of the new produced STEEM in the reward pool distrubuted to approximately 2000 posts/day.
I know there are users alone using %6 of it...
So is it freedom to hit minnows because they use bidbots?

The problem is that steemit is now everything bidbots. omg bidbots. bidbots bidbots and more bidbots. Oh and did you forget to send SBD to that bidbot? Don't forget this bidbot too. Don't forget resteem bots. Let's ensure that nothing on the trending page is organic at all. Ever. Because bidbots.
Bidbots are garbage, 100% through and through.
Of course this is just my opinion. Then again, I signed up to steemit for the manual, organic stuff. It wasn't until after that I noticed the illusion that is the trending page.
So forgive me if I think bidbots are sha-poopy.
I don't support bidbots but I don't think they are the biggest problem in Steemit.
They are only opportunistic scripts that use the system.
While the system is structured this way, who can blame bidbots?

@anthonyadavisii, here is the original article that he upvoted. If you look in the comments he admitted why he upvoted that article. If you really believe that what he is doing is good, why would he get off on the bad publicity? You'd think one would want to be applauded for his virtuous acts.
@grumpycat was most likely being facetious with the bad publicity comment. They are making light of a serious issue. Regardless, I am more concerned with the impact vs the motive.
Grumpy was successful in bringing down a bid bot abuser from a 48 to 46 reputation today. I had been working on them for a couple days and posted to the community a flag rewards campaign to help take them down with little support which is sad tbh. That scammer gained 2 rep by continued abuse but GC stopped them dead in their tracks. That's virtue right there. When a community is too chicken shit to handle the problem facing us all but instead give resources to those that perpetuate that problem (by supporting the problem bots), @grumpycat is a breath of FRESH AIR!
Creating quality posts does not absolve you of the wrongdoing of supporting these bots. GC is correcting the problem and it's not his fault for those that CHOOSE to be entangled in it.
Be responsible, @snowpea, to your investment and to mine. Stop paying the abuse enablers and we just might be able to get a handle on this EVER GROWING problem on Steem. If not, watch those investments get flushed down the toilet!
It is precisely the principle that I have been pursuing for three months that I started in steemit. I have received a flag for demonstrating against the bot, I have received flags for calling a powerful oriental whale; but here I am, cultivating and approaching the users of good intentions. I strongly support the projects of @grumpycat, @anthonyadavisii and @lince; but, always a but, I am struck by the fact that in the white book of the creators of steemit there is no comment related to the criteria presented here. Those who started steemit more than a year ago were not susceptible to these controls and today, they have already made their platform, and are parallel users to those accounts, whose financing gave them the power to vote to achieve with a flag made feel. I do not know if it's fair or not, but I want to sail free in the five oceans and cross the two seas, literally traveling in steemit.

Salty cat is just like every other wannabe super hero - here I am saving the world from the terrible bad and injustice that is being done to it - then in the process knocks down an old lady dislocating her hit, runs over someone's pet dog, destroys 3 houses leaving the families destitute because insurance companies don't cover acts of God or ineffective Super Hero's - and after all that prounces "But I was doing it for the greater good, any war has to have a few casualties". I'm confused. One comment you are anti grumpy, the next you are lauding his efforts. Where do you stand?
I thought steemit was supposed to be a decentralized platform? So why should one person bully another? Everyone can't see things the same way you do and it is their God given right to act freely. As long as they are not harming anyone. Unlike you, not everyone belongs to a group/ clan that gives them "organic votes". The segregation against newcomers is very obvious. The so called bidbots are owned by many "good guys" and from my observation it's good when it profits you guys but bad when it doesnt.
That Asian guy takes like 6% of the reward pool daily, but many of you "reward pool alarmists" act like you don't see it. why?

P.S. If you or anyone you know has been a victim of @grumpycat please know that he has been harming people throughout Sōsharumedia (ソーシャルメディア). Stealing the service that I (and other bots) have provided them and hiding behind a facade of stopping bid bot abuse which he clearly has no interest in.
