The word #free always attracts people. But most of the time it looks like it is too good to be true. Well here it is true but you will not get rich either, not from the links below. But a little #crypto here, a little more there might go a long way. One thing to remember it is also possible to change what is earned for the Steem coins you love so much on some exchanges.

So what is the catch?

First, it has nothing to do with getting rich overnight schemes. The websites and systems listed below don't provide tons of free money and coins. But little by little, while browsing, while playing, while writing or just when you leave your computer overnight running, you can be making coins.

How can they give away free coins?

Well, some like Steemit you love works with content. If you are reading this you might already be aware of that. In the end, the value is the community. For other sites, they rely on advertisement revenue to be able to provide their user base with a little share of it. Other sites will use with your agreement some background resources from your computer to solve math problems related to mining the coins. Again they will give you a little share of it.

Is it safe?

Well is the internet safe? No, if you are careless and yes if you have good judgment. One thing for sure and this applies to anything online. Try to diversify your passwords and use strong ones. Do not give access to your accounts to anyone. And do not install random Apps without verifying the sources or looking at reputation and reviews in general from different sources.

The sites on this list have been personally tested and many payments have been done to and from them. Make sure you follow the rules for each as it might put your funds and accounts you create on them in jeopardy.

So where are the freebies?

Coinpot

Coinpot has been around for a while and will give access to multiple ways of earning coins. It can also be used as a wallet for a few of the coins but it is advised not to use it as a main wallet for your assets. They give access to free Coinpot Tokens which can be gambled, used in a lottery or it can be traded for other coins like Bitcoin, BitcoinCash, Dogecoin, Litecoin or Dash coins. It has a an integrated system to convert between these coins as well. Depending on the coins there is a minimum amount required for withdrawing.

Another neat feature of Coinpot is the possibility to “mine” coins or tokens from within a browser and they even allow you to do it from multiple computers or devices for the same account at the same time.

The Moon network, Moon Bitcoin, Moon BitcoinCash, Moon Litecoin, Moon Dogecoin, Moon Dash

These sites under different Moon names are for a single coin but are all connected to Coinpot website with an automatic deposit to the Coinpot website wallet. Some have more options for earning but I would recommend passing on the offers and surveys as they are mostly time-consuming and might end up in a frustrating spiral of coins that are not easily accessible or with too much redirection to other sites. You should also avoid most of the advertisement there. Remember if it sounds too good to be true it probably isn't.

Bitfun

Bitfun is also part of the Coinpot website network but is geared toward #games and offers. You get paid for spending time playing the games on the web page. They have advertisement but provide real games such as Lords Mobile, Cut the Rope, Doodle Creatures or other known and less known games. Again the offer system is the same and you should be aware of the pitfalls read more in the previous paragraph about Moon network of sites for details.

JSECoin

JSECoin is new and just started its deployment phase after their initial ICO. It allows mining in a browser for their coins. Another interesting part is they limit the mining capacities to give a chance to everyone to mine.

For publishers, an applet in the form of a javascript can be added to any website which allows visitors to help you mine and gives you rewards. The unintrusive system is well done and they can opt-in or out at any time with a reminder every hour. So far JSECoin applets has been working well with the website I have tested on.

The only current drawback is, their coins are only listing in 2 exchanges but they are negotiating for many more. That might be the only current drawback to this otherwise good system.
