To inspire and encourage more positive vibes on Steemit, here's your Daily Dose Of Faith In Humanity & Good Karma!

[Role Model Teacher] A single 24-year-old 4th grade teacher in a low-income school had a difficult student that almost made her quit her job. "At certain points, his behavior got so bad, I thought, I can't do this anymore. I can't be a teacher." Regardless of the challenging situation, the two developed a special bond, where the student would only listen to her.

At the end of her two-year contract, she was encouraged by staff to sign on for a extra year to be there for the troublesome child she had bonded with. Instead of finding an easier job, and inspired by a vivid dream she had one night, she chose to pursue ADOPTING him!

At the time, the boy was living in poverty with his one-year-old brother, grandparents, and birth mother. After a few months, she adopted the pair of boys shown below, and life quickly took a huge turn for the better for all involved.

Many people may take the path of least resistance in life. Meanwhile, others see unique challenges as opportunities and/or gifts to change lives for the better, including their own. Below is his new mom showing off her son's improved grades:

[Smart Cancellation Policy] A mom with a sick child had to cancel a company's home appointment on short notice because her child became sick. Instead of giving her an attitude or a cancellation fee, they sent her these flowers below three hours later. While the mom barely slept the night before, and had her hands full with her child's illness, I'm sure that this unexpected gesture gave her a needed boost to her day... and a new bar raised for her husband.

In a society where we're surrounded by fees and more fees, it's refreshing to see a company treat a customer as more than a revenue stream.

[The Gift Of Life, On Three] Roy Coe, a retired locomotive engineer, spent three years battling non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. He went through eight rounds of chemotherapy, only to find out that the cancer evolved to another form requiring an urgent blood stem cell transplant.

On the other end, a college football freshman at Northwestern, joined 19 of his teammates in getting their cheeks swabbed to join the Be The Match bone marrow registry. Two-and-a-half years later, the football standout received a call indicating that he was a potential match for an emergency transplant. After another month, he was confirmed as a full match and agreed to help save this unknown person's life. The only catch was that the procedure take place after his last game of his season, the Outback Bowl.

The transfusion process was painful for the football player, who chose to remain anonymous, but a success. Roy's life was saved and slowly returned to normal. After a following scare with bladder cancer that was caught early, life was truly back in Roy's control.

Well, it turns out that that college rookie became an NFL player, Austin Carr of the Saints, and a meeting was finally arranged for the two at the Super Bowl. It was a powerful meeting, shown below, accented by a pair of free Super Bowl tickets. Ironically, Austin's college teammate and roommate who encouraged his teammates to join this program was also selected to successfully save someone's life as well.

Perhaps we should also consider signing up for donor match programs...

I hope this was uplifting. Thanks for reading.

All touching stories, I'm particularly motivated by the one by the teacher because I'm a teacher right now and I constantly think of quitting because the kids get on my last nerve.

Wow. You really do do it all. Congrats for being in a meaningful role.

The stress is disproportionate to the reward but somebody's gotta do it. My contract ends in march, I won't be renewing it.

Wonderful stories!!! These are incredible people, it takes much more than a giving heart to be able to do what the teacher and the college student did.
