Here's Your Daily Dose Of Faith In Humanity & Good Karma!
[Using The Force] A 32-year old lifelong Star Wars superfan, Daniel Fleetwood, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer and given a few months to live. His final wish was to see the upcoming "The Force Awakens" movie, but knew he wouldn't live long enough. With the help of his wife and social media, the right people noticed and Daniel received a call from the film's director to grant his wish. He had a private viewing in his home and all types of encouragement from the cast a month before it was officially released. Daniel died a week later.
[Good Samaritans] A friendly old man, living in an simple home in Oregon, sat on his porch every day across the street from a train rail yard. For four years, one of the rail workers would exchange nods with him without saying a word.
One day, two teenagers were heard shouting, "Look at this crappy house. They just need to burn it down!" The rail worker then saw the old man sink his head in shame.
Instead of feeling sorry for him, the worker he'd never spoken to took immediate action by getting donated materials from a friend and recruiting people to help. After asking permission from the now-elated man, the worker began work and ultimately rallied more than 95 people to fix the outside of the house. Needless to say, everything happens for a reason, and the homeowner now has one big reason to feel good when sitting on his porch.

[True Champion] I don't know much about surfing, but Martin Passeri is now my favorite surfer. The 5-time winner of Argentina's national annual surfing championship, effectively lost his bid for another title, but won the respect of everyone around the world instead.
Instead of finishing the national competition at hand to potentially win another title, he took to the waves with a half-paralyzed man he met whose dream was to be a professional surfer. Martin literally carried this man on his back to catch a few waves during the competition, allowing his fan to realize his lifelong dream. They now remain close friends. When asked why he'd do that to lose the competion, Martin responded, "The truth is that I didn't lose. I believe that was the best wave and the biggest triumph of my life."
The instant a man's "impossible" dream became a reality.

Great finds man. Clearly I have a soft spot for the Star Wars related one, but the one on the airplane made me want to get up and cheer.
I really like your new series. It is way too much focus on the negative in the world, and people tend to forget (myself included) that there are great acts of kindness happening all over as well, that we almost never hear about. Great job, keep it up!

love it, was uplifting to read, my mind filled the gaps and possible reasons, sensationalization, positive publicity, and whatnots, but my heart tells me there is goodness is all these stories and even possible the last romanticized airline urban legend that I've heard off before, has some truth in origin. keep the +ve karma flowing!

There may be some publicity stunts or exaggeration involved in some of these, but the undertones and overtones are positive, and I think they'll make a lot of people stop to think in a healthy way. I try to weed through the ones I find to make sure they seem valid and check a few sources to make sure the story is straight enough. I'll never be able to prove all of the facts, so I try to just give enough of the basics to get the message across, which you soundly received today. Thanks for your nice upvote.
hey matty, can you please go check out this this 1st time post by Andreas Antonopoulos, this guy is the biggest advocate for bitcoin from 2011 to 2017, and because of his endorsement and technological argument for ETH function in 2016 & early 2017, ETH adoptiom went from $5 to $500.
Someone like him needs to hear feedback from real people on Steem, somebody like him don't give 2 fcuks about getting rich of crypto, he needs to know if this is something that will change society, blockchain technology, and that it's not just another sensationalized shit coin....and we know it's far from that.
Andreas needs to see how Steem is changing lives around the world, it's already starting to do it now, and if he spend some time on Steemit he will. If he choose to someday invest time to help Steem get better....just 1 great idea for a Steem DAP or SMT DAP that is widely adopted will help Steem rise by $100 and allow us to reach and payout more people all over the world, especially in 3rd world countries.

btw @steemmatt, too many old school Steemians replying back to Andreas like the glass is half empty....that's just terrible way to convince Andrea.
He needs to see the positive about Steem, it the way he see things best...into the future....he must see Steem as the gateway crypto for the next 25-million non-cryto users, not investors, but actual users coming in the next 18-36 months...he need to see this badly so he can learn that Steem will change the power struggle and give the power (economy) back to the people, then he will consider Steem and not all the stupid FUD-mongers who's got a bone to pick with a handful of Steem-Whales.
Aww man, these are such touching stories and with a lot wrong being done in the society, its very refreshing to see such positives.
My condolence to the cancer patient who died, I pray his family receive strwngth to bear his loss
