A Daily Dose Of Faith In Humanity & Good Karma - Day 8

I want to inspire and encourage more positive vibes on Steemit.

Here's Your Daily Dose Of Faith In Humanity & Good Karma!

[Bridging Your Skill Gap] Desperate times don't always call for desperate measures. Education, preparation, discipline and leadership foster the resolve to succeed when you least expect it, and can help others in need.

I feel that many people would flail around if they didn't have an internet connection or "an app for that". Society is deliberately dumbing people down under the guise of practicality, efficiency, and savings, but at what cost? I often feel that some of the smartest people are those who don't rely on technology and the internet for much.

When adversity strikes, there will be no Uber service, reception, or even access to resources. How would you fare?

[Au-some Performance] I've seen this high school basketball video many times, but don't want to assume that you've seen it yet. If you liked the movie Rudy, or tearjerkers in general, this one is for you. Sometimes luck is when preparation meets opportunity, and sometimes it clearly isn't luck at all. Enjoy the show.

[Good Company] A FSU college football player was visiting a middle school and noticed a boy sitting by himself. He sat down with him for company so he wasn't alone, not knowing that he was autistic and often isolated by his peers. This might not seem like much to everyone, but this simple gesture really helps people in these positions.

The message here is that this athlete had no issue sitting with the kid no one wanted to be around because he didn't care what the others thought. He wanted to show compassion and be kind. Just imagine how much better people would be to each other in schools and society if people were taught to understand this principle when social habits are delicately forming... when it often matters most.

I hope this was uplifting. Please see previous posts below, spread the message, and follow for more.

We're always so caught up in our daily activities that we ignore a lot of people, Sometimes, its just a little gesture that could make a world of difference to that person and other times, we're the ones in need of that little gesture. Either way, we all need each other

Thanks for reading and your input. One ripple is all each of us need to spread these types of messages and thoughts. I'm actually in need of positivity these days as much as I've ever needed it, so putting positivity out there will hopefully return the same as you did. Thank you.

Stay strong bro, I'm positive everything's gonna be okay.

This is something I wonder about sometimes... I can't imagine how life would be without internet or electricity for extended periods of time.

I have seen such days but the past 10-15 years have changed the way we live and think and function.

Wow, this is truely inspiring. Sometimes, people don't realize their potential cuz they were never given the opportunity. This story is a great reminder to give people a chance and not judge their potential by their background or circumstances. Thank you, @Steemmatt for sharing such an uplifting story.
