There's nothing wrong with this kind of food! Unless you're living a totally sedentary life, and if that's the case, the sedentary lifestyle is the problem, not the delicious protein, natural fats and carbs your mum is feeding you. Give up sugary foods and keep the good wholesome natural fare :)

·

Amen. I'm not as active as I should be haha.

·
·

I'm so tired after climbing my fifth mountain of the week yesterday that I only just noticed this was a video, and you've basically made the same point in the video that I've just echoed 😂. Great minds think alike.
I've no idea where in Africa my father's family came from, but I'm guessing it was Kenya, as I seem to have this need to climb mountains. It certainly makes food taste more delicious. 😋

Hahaha.. looks like you need some African food for recovery. Also looks like you inherited that super human Kenyan fitness levels haha.

Totally. And yes maybe, but it's just evaporated today haha.

Uncle Ade! uncle Ade! How many times did I call you?! No Africa/Nigerian food slander will be accepted! Lol, yesterday I had catfish pepper soup mixed with my egusi and it was heaven!!! I will never give up on African food, never! If I perish I perish. Well, personally I think it's about your metabolism. I can eat a house and still remind slim. But we do have a history of diabetes in my family-- lost my dad because of it, so I try to reduce my intake of process food/sugar and exercise a little. I also google stuff that helps with reducing blood sugar like ginger and garlic and I eat them, occasionally. But it is all good. I need to call your mum, she needs to stay a little longer, you need to gain some weight.

·
·

That Shit HOOOOT!!Hehe, I once had some Nigerian Friends, literally would cry when eating with them. It's super delish but man, the pepper can Kill!I don't think much has changed in West African delicacies, those guys are very faithful to their culture. East Africa, Not so much! Hola atcha Mama :D How About a Recipe? LOL

·

Hehehe. You're not wrong haha. Even I cry and sweat from the head when I eat that stuff. The pepper soup, especially is really chilli soup haha.

East Africans are immortal superhumans anyway so it doesn't matter what they eat haha.

·
·

LOL.. #wakandaforever!!
Now I kinda Miss Jollof Rice! And those plantains.... Oh Lord!

Have to love those sweet plantains! We called them “amarillos” in the Caribbean and one of my favorite food when I am visiting family and not on my low carb diet. I have to restrict those and other carbs due to by behind the desk job although I often get out for physical activity but it is never enough.

Yeah omg. I could eat plantains all day every day hehe. Like you said though, we're spending too much time sitting down to do that. I love caribbean food so much, thankfully it's very available here in London.

I never tried african food but this stuff looks very tasty!!

@adetorrent, Absolutely, old days hold the times of heavy hard work and definitely most of us not even will imagine that kind of efforts in these modern days. But definitely we should never forget the history because in my opinion History Repeats. Stay blessed.

Your fitness?? I did missed some flat abs in any of your videos?? 😆😆 My mom cooking is pretty awesome as well, that's what mom's do, every time I go home I am thinking to give gym a second chance in my life...
