DSound Gems Vol9 - Steemit Music Review

Life gets hectic and I just realized it's been a couple of weeks since I have been able to give some time to deep dive in to DSound to extract some Gems. I am up to volume 9 now so looking forward to keeping this going in to double figures. Lots of great tunes this time round. I listened to tons of great stuff this week and there were many great tunes not included as I am trying to keep these posts to five Gems a piece.

@wolfnworbeikood aka Second Womb are consistently dropping quality all over DSound. This track is no exception. There are a bunch of talented rappers flowing on this one. The beat has a laid back lofi vibe with some great bass and psychedelic business and catchy synth loops. This one's for repeat listens for sure.

This collab between @breezin and @soundwavesphoton oozes with noir melancholy. Almost whispered vocals dripping all over the simple but effective bass and sparse beats.

Circular breathing never sounded so good @nathankaye blows things up with this didgeridoo infused instrumental. Southern fried guitar slides and a solid drum track complete the mix. This was not be out of place on the soundtrack of any number of road movies.

@avesa gives us a cheeky and tongue in cheek double entendre laden bossa nova excursion. Great stuff for a spring evening.

@diffuseloop managed to chill me the f out. LoFi Boards of Canada style chord sequences and some some raw acoustic guitar stylings. Chill but not too repetitive to put you to sleep, this develops nicely over the course of the track with new chords and guitar melodies.
