DSound Gems Vol5 - Steemit Music Review
This my 5th dive in to the sometimes murky depths of DSound. I have emerged with some musical pearls for your delectation. Everyday I am amazed by the quality of music being posted on DSound. Really feel like the DSounds and Musicoins of the world have a decent chance of providing a more creator centric alternative once Soundcloud concludes it's excrutiatingly prolonged death.

@seveaux is on production duties with @benja providing the lyrical flow here. Ethnic vocal and instrumental samples provide a perfect backdrop to Benja's relentless machine gun lyrical style.
Steemian hip hop community is strong and growing for sure.

@avesa and @drfunk13 are Andromedans and collectively drench us in some Funk Syrup. JazzFunk brass, funky bass, organ and some really smooth piano licks blend perfectly with soulful vocal abstractions and drum breaks. Sticky and Fresh.

@hardkiv brings us an epic Modern Indian music with a song structure and progression worthy of a seventies prog rock band. This track starts with fairly mellow piano and builds to a pretty intense rock climax. Really unique blending of styles here. Luckily an English translation of the lyrics is also provided.

@davidfar plays a simple but effective descending piano progression. This is modern classical. Chopinesque or Satie-like composition but with some reverse effects, bass guitar and other production flourishes thrown in to give a modern touch.

Finishing off with @avesa for a 2nd appearance on this humble little list. On this one he is a veritable one man production factory providing some decent vocal stylings too. This track has a mellow but dancey funkified groove, shades of Basement Jaxx even. A great solo debut for sure.

Cheers Todd, appreciate it. Been doing some trawling of DSound for stuff that grabs me. Also done a couple of weeks of non Steem music in the form of new #mondaymixtape tag. Eventually will post some of my own music and more ipad music production and sound demos
