About dPoll

dPoll is a place on the Steem blockchain where you can answer questions by your fellow Steemians and create polls yourself. You can find it at dPoll.xyz.

If you want to learn more about the project, you can read the introductory post.

There are a lot of developments going on at the moment in order to build out the MVP into a capable dApp on Steem.

The most recent developments were focused on UI in general, editing in particular and some work on the sponsors module.

We have implemented a new view which lists polls by vote count on specific date ranges. This view is hidden at the moment, but it's accessible via /polls_by_vote. polls by vote ranks the dPolls of the last 7 days by votes cast. If you want to know how to set specific date ranges: check this.

The immediate tasks on our development roadmap are:

  • Front End design
  • Achievements and Badges
  • Fixing the mobile issues on markdown editor
  • Adding/Updating post tags
  • Multiple choice selection (Not %100 decided, yet.)
  • DPP (dPoll Points) system based on user activity

If you have any feedback, go to our issues page at Github or drop by at our Discord server.

What happened on dPoll last week?

@shaka wanted to know which dApps he should push for a week:

On which dApp should I focus my curation for one week?

Well, those fitness fanatics didn't mess around. @actifit emerged as a clear winner. Let's see how many of you will be able to post those report cards during the holidays.

@helo was interested in the Steem blockchain itself:

How should the STEEM blockchain development be funded?

76% of voters were in favour of using inflation for financing and a voting system to prioritize development efforts.

@trincowski used a poll air is frustration with @steemcleaners and @cheetah:

Should @steemcleaners and @cheetah be more tolerant with new users?

Turns out 95% of voters think these two services are to too harsh on new users.

@pjau tried to illustrate how he goes about his work for @steemcleaners. As you can see from his witness updates, he puts a lot of time into steemcleaners every week.

@irelandscape was interested in making Steem more accessible:

Would you use your Google credentials to login to your favorite Steem apps?

@nerdtopiade held his 9th Voting Game:

Random Game Voting Nr 9

@ninjavideo wanted to know in which direction his app development around Pixel Art should go:

bApp - better to submit by post... or by the bApps frontend?

dPollers were 55% in favour of creating posts and 45% preferred a self contained app.

@vimukthi thought about one of the two things in life you can't escape:

What Will You Do If Govenrment Asks About Your STEEM Earnings?
