dPollXmas2018 #4: How do you decorate the Christmas tree?

We reached half time. 12 days behind us, 12 days to go.
In our family it is tradition, to check the Christmas tree lighting at this date.
Why?
Because long ago, we did it, when setting up the tree.
On 24. of December.
Shops closed.
And we had often the case, that the lighting wasn't working, due to faulty bulbs. (In that era, one had only small bulbs, not LED lights, for the tree) Lot's of family drama on that day.
So, better chek it today!

Anyway, my question to you is, how do you decorate the tree?
Classical, with red and balls and shiny stuff?
Modern, with LED blinking or minimalistic?
Old fashioned, with real candles?
Or somehow different?
