Indian PM Modi tweeted in April, 2018, saying he wanted his govt to be criticized, because it strengthens democracy.

23 year old research scholar and writer Sofia Lois, shouted "Fascist BJP govt down, down" and she's booked for creating public nuisance. Oops! She apparently got into an altercation with Soundararajan, a BJP president in Tamil Nadu, at the Tuticorin airport. Soundararajan, while speaking to India Today, said she felt threatened by Sophia's slogans. She further stated that there must be some organisation behind the sloganeer.

Sophia was released on bail from a 15 day judicial custody, by Tuesday, September 3, 2018. She's said to be a scholar in Physics at a Canadian University, with a past track record of participating in the Anti-Sterlite protests and against the controversial Chennai-Salem eight-lane highway project.
