First Hollywood Blockchain Movie: Will This Be The Beginning Of The End Of Piracy

Hollywood is currently turning to blockchain technology in distributing movies in a development as the start of the end for piracy.

To start the charge, An indie movie entitled 'No Postage Necessary', which is a romantic comedy film about a unlucky hacker, is currently distributed via a P2P video network app Vevue run on Qtum blockchain.

The movie will get its theatrical release and global blockchain debut in June 2018 & will also be available online in exchange for cryptocurrency.

Jeremy Culver, the director of the film said that they are excited to give movie lovers all over the world a brand new movie experience by turning blockchain technology into a feature movie distribution channel.

Bittrex Has Announced The Launch Of Their Next-Gen Website

On a tweet on March 29, 2018, Bittrex has announced the bete testing of the next-gen of their website.

New features can be found on the website such as a user interface overhaul, API improvements and security updates.

Bittrex said that after they complete the testing phase, they will officially launch the new website, which will improve the overall performance of the exchange.

The site is now available for testing here - beta.bittrex.com.


BitPay Now Adds Bitcoin Cash Support In Addition To Bitcoin

Merchants using BitPay are now able to accept a new cryptocurrency in addition to Bitcoin - Bitcoin Cash.

BitPay was founded in 2011 and ever since it only offers Bitcoin payments.

In December 2017, it announced that they will be starting to support altcoins beginning with Bitcoin Cash this year.

Now BitPay users have option to pay with either Bitcoin or Bitcoin Cash.
