Bitfinex Plans To Move Office From Hong Kong To Switzerland

One of the biggest cryptocurrency exchange Bitfinex is reportedly planning to move its office out from Hong Kong to Switzerland.

According to the reports, the exchange is currently in talks with the Swiss government over a move to Europe.

Aside from London, Switzerland is also one of the top potential destinations when it comes to cryptocurrency businesses.

Bitfinex is the second Hong Kong-based crypto exchange known to finding a way to exit the jurisdiction, next to Binance who also made plans to move to Malta.


Belarus Effectively Legalizes Cryptocurrency Business Activities

The President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has signed a Decree in December 2017 which aims to create conditions for the digital economy development in the country.

The decree has entered into force this March 28, 2018 which effectively legalizes cryptocurrency business activities in Belarus.

Such businesses are exchange services, mining operations, initial coin offerings (ICOs) and smart contracts.

It also does not restrict the issuing, storage and trade of cryptocurrencies.

Any corporate bodies and individual entrepreneurs are free to do business everywhere, so long as they register as residents of the country's High Technologies Park (HTP).


A Japanese Luxury Car Dealer Now Accepts Bitcoin Payment Through BitFlyer

L'Operaio, a Japanese luxury car dealership is now able to accept Bitcoin as payment option from customers using their BitFlyer crypto wallets.

A BitFlyer user can spend up to 100 million yen (940k USD) using their digital wallet and bitcoin purchases can be done by scanning a QR code & be settled in seconds.

The bitcoin payment option will first be available at 3 stores in Tokyo, Aoyama and Setagaya, Nerima.

The rest of the all stores will follow in the near future.

BitFlyer is a tokyo-based cryptocurrency exchange which was recently granted a European Union payment institution license which makes it - according to the company's CEO - 'the world's most compliant cryptocurrency exchange.
