Ford To Utilize Cryptocurrency For Vehicle-To-Vehicle Communication

Ford Global Technologies has been granted by The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) the LLC patent number 9928746for a system called 'Apparatus and methods'.

The system is designed to facilitate inter-vehicle cooperation to marshal traffic.

The new technology is to be used to alleviate traffic congestion by using communication between vehicles to facilitate the cooperative coordination of platoons of vehicles.

The description of the document is that it is a Cooperatively Managed Merge and Pass (CMPP) system, which uses cryptocurrency technology to facilitate communications between vehicles.

It operates with individual token-based transactions, where consumers' vehicles and merchant vehicles agree to trade units of cryptos called CMPP tokens to facilitate individual drivers to access less congested lanes.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup is to be hosted in the capital of Russia's westernmost region Kaliningrad, together with other host cities in the country.

Hotels in Kaliningrad has teamed up with Free-Kassa, an electronic payment service which supports cryptocurrency transactions, to accept Bitcoin payments from football fans for their stay.

The Develoment Manager of Free-Kassa, Vitaliy Lavrov said that the hospitality industry is quite sensitive towards new trends in technology.

Intel Files Patent For A Bitcoin Mining Accelerator

The world's leading microprocessor manfacturer, Intel has filed a patent of a mining accelerator which will make mining Bitcoin more efficient.

The hardware as claimed by Intel will make the process of mining cryptocurrencies more efficient by reducing power consumption.

This specially designed microprocessors reduces 35% of power consumption compared to general-purpose processors.

The patent was filed back in September 2016 and was just published by the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) this March 29, 2018.
