As I've seen this game evolve more and more over the last couple of months.. I'd like to see some of the quests go more into the "real"/"physical" world.
In the future I'd like to see these quests more often getting people outside, into nature.. And.. Being active in the world.

So this quest is sort of an experiment in that direction.
My father once told me about something what he believes in which he called "power spots".

A power spot is somewhere where you feel extra in tune I guess and sort of "more powerful".
It might be a beautiful mountain, or a place with trees or a creek, or maybe it's somewhere else, maybe it's not out in nature for you but in a building somewhere of some sort or perhaps elsewhere?

The mission of this round is to go out into into the world somewhere and find a "power spot" to share with us.
For this round you have to do some kind of thing where you hold a note in front of the camera and write the like.. The date or the letters IFC, or both the date and the letters IFC on a piece of paper, or you can print it up if you suck at writing like I do, lol.

But essentially we want some kind of evidence to show you were really physically there and you didn't just pull the image off your hard drive somewhere.
Also, please include a picture without the piece of paper as well so we can see the pure shot unobstructed. :)

Whoever brings us the most interesting or beautiful or cool or "powerful" image of a place that you feel like for you is a "power spot" wins this round!

I would also appreciate at least a short description in your blog post of why you feel like the place is a "power spot" for you. Good luck and I'm super curious to see the results of this round! :)

Also kryptocek's bonus quest is also of similar nature to this quest and is to go out and find objects in the world sort of like a scavenger hunt, if you wanna do that one you might want to do both of these quests at the same time! The link for that quest will be below in case you'd like to do both.

And now a moment for our sponsors!

First up is @ats-david who has helped greatly! If you appreciate this contest or just his efforts in general you may want to look into voting for him as a witness at @ats-witness, he does a lot of other cool things for the community as well!

Next is @timcliff who has similarly helped out the contest significantly and who is also a witness who does a lot for the community, so likewise if you appreciate the efforts you may want to vote for him as witness also!

I'd also like to thank @theguruasia who has pledged at least 20 steem to the second and third place prizes and he said he may even donate more.

And @nxtblg who has been regularly resteeming and upvoting our challenges which has been a big help!

Plus one other person who has been helping a lot who deserves some credit is @soundlegion who has also been upvoting the contests regularly.

For this challenge.. If there's a tie.. We will do another round to see who wins.

The winner will be decided by whoever gets the most votes.
The only people who can vote in a qualifying sense are myself and the judges I've selected and we will vote by leaving a comment on the submission that we like the most and say something like.. "I vote for this one" and a reason why we voted would be good too, but is not mandatory.

You have until this challenges post payout ends to submit your post. Though we do accept late entries if you get it in before all the judges vote.

The challenge will finish after 7 days when the post ends and provides its payout cycle and unless there is a tie, the winner will gain the steem, the XP and have a point to go towards their long term win. (minus the 25% for curation)

This may be one of the more difficult ones, It is still winter, and not sure I want to make the drive, I will have to think on it for a bit. At least we are in a sunshine time, so I hope to get out there, just not sure about the mountain driving yet.

That's a good point! Maybe we should have waited until the weather cleared up more! I didn't really think of that as I live in the desert and it's already getting hot here! Oh well.. I guess it is what it is, it's already been posted.. But please yeah, be careful.. Don't go out unless you feel it's safe and worth it, I don't want anyone getting inadvertently hurt or harmed because of these challenges!

When it comes to snow and ice, safety is always first and foremost on my mind. I don't mind not going out on nasty days, in winter we try to have enough to get by, just in case of bad roads for a few days, never happens or last longer than 3 days, but it could. I get picky on when and how far to drive in the winter.

Hi @apolymask, if you have a moment, could you define what you mean by role playing in point #3?

Sure, no problem. Role playing is sort of like "getting into character" in the virtual world. Are you familiar with Role Playing Games? They tend to be games where you have a character in a virtual world that can level up and gain experience, especially fantasy games with like Dwarves and Orcs and Trolls and stuff like that.

The Lord Of The Rings game is a good example of an RPG.
RPG's were some of the first main video games I got attached to and enjoyed and some of the first ones were really simple, just basically text and pictures sort of like the IFC is. I think they were called MUD's.. Multi User Dungeons.. Or something like that.

Essentially to Role Play, it would be sort of like Role Playing in a romantic sense if a partner has a fantasy about maids or police officers or whatever, the partner would dress up as that and pretend to be that, likewise in the IFC world we have some players who write up stories abour their entries and sort of "pretend" they are in the virtual world.

A good example of this is @kryptocek I suggest clicking on his name and looking at one or multiple of his IFC entries. Also @iexplore recently has been doing some good role playing on his entries as well! You may want to check out his page as well to get a better idea.

Hopefully that answers your question and if you're still not sure lemme know! I could even get some links from those two players I mentioned if you don't wanna look through their blogs. I'm happy to help you learn and understand how this all works! :)

Very helpful -- thank you! I will be sure to check out @kryptocek and @iexplore.

Couldn't agree more with @kryptocek. This contest and community is great. It's a lot of fun. Your entries and the role playing are up to your imagination and creative writing skills. Just have fun with it! :) Look forward to seeing you in Cryptopia! :)

Thank you! Looking forward to seeing you and @kryptocek there as well.

Agree with you both that the community is great. People here are so helpful and there are so many fun things to try, do, and learn from others.

Absolutely!! The energy is full of positive frequencies! Keep the engagement keeps the fun alive!!

It's a blast I highly recommend it and along with the quest's is just an awesome community in general!

You're welcome! :) Glad to help. Also as a reminder I'm planning on posting the poetry contest tomorrow! So you may wanna keep an eye out for that one.

I just saw the post! Thanks for the reminder :)

You're very welcome. :) Thanks for showing interest in our contest. :D

Hahaha! I think this will finally get me out of the house and out to some faraway place. :D

Awesome. :) That was part of the idea! :D

oh man! can we PLEASE have a repeat round of this in a few weeks? I have this nature sanctuary near me and springtime there is my favorite power spot ever but it's still at least 6 weeks away over here lol I'll have to think on this one (as my van shit the bed lol) I'll need something close to home.. challenge accepted!

Perhaps! I think when we get to the sweet 16 we're going to vote on which rounds as a community we'll do, so there might be numerous more opportunities for this quest. :) But yeah, I'd like to do this quest again at some point and I'd like to see your cool power spot you mentioned as well! :D

that sounds great! this is really a ton of fun :)

Wow! this is awesome art work, nice job...

ok, thanks for the good news. I will try, and try to do my best :)
