The Psychology Of Control: The Stanford Social Media Thought Prison Experiment

The Stanford Prison Experiment

Thank you for joining me, so let’s first provide a little context/background. The Stanford prison experiment was an examination of the psychological effects behind the perception of power. The experiment took place in 1971 and consisted of young men being divided into the roles of prisoner and guard. The prison environment was created in the basement of the psychology department at Stanford University. Volunteers were paid $15.00 per day and asked to participate in a study that related to the psychological effects of prison life. Of the 75 students that applied, 24 were chosen to take part.

The prison environment was designed to be as authentic as possible, with students being arrested without prior warning and then taken to a local police station. Once processed, prisoners were blindfolded and driven to the recently assembled Stanford prison. The prison had bare walls, barred windows/doors and small cells. Each prisoner was stripped, deloused, given prison attire and an I.D number in place of their name. Once all the guards were dressed in matching uniform, the stage was set!

Within 24hrs the guards began to harass the prisoners. The guards taunted the prisoners with insults, menial tasks and physical punishments such as cleaning the toilets with their bare hands. On the 2nd day the prisoners rebelled, ripping off their numbers and barricading themselves in their cells by placing their beds against the door. The guards retaliated and used fire extinguishers to force the prisoners away from the doors. Once they had entered the rooms the guards stripped the prisoners naked and removed their beds/bedding.

Over the course of the next few days the guards began to ritually abuse, dehumanise and harass the prisoners. As the prisoners grew ever more dependent the guards became ever more contemptuous. The prisoners began to take the rules very seriously, informing on their fellow detainees for the most innocuous of transgressions. The more submissive the prisoners became, the more aggressive and controlling the guards grew. Following a succession and acceleration of incidents, violence, and psychological breakdowns the experiment was halted six days into its planned two-week run. The majority of the guards would later express regret at the way they had behaved, many finding it difficult to comprehend they had acted in such a brutalising manner. Several of the students professed to be unaware that such a side of their nature existed or that they were capable of such acts.

Reflection

For me this is a prime example of the inherent danger behind labels, the perception of power/superiority and collectivization over individuality. The collective narrative is far easier to control and manipulate than a world of self-empowered free thinking individuals. Equally the experiment clearly displays how the perception of power corrupts and subverts our ability to empathise and humanise with those on the opposing spectrum of this dynamic. From my perspective, the psychology behind this experiment has been weaponised and rolled out into the cyberspace of social media. How did this happen and who are the guards/prisoners?

The Build Up

For years our society has held up the far right as the epitomy of evil; many despicable acts have been justified through this mindset and I abhor racism and discrimination, so what’s the problem? Unfortunately (and I believe this is deliberate) what this has also achieved is to render subsequent generations increasingly blind to the insidious tactics of the far left, a totalitarian ideology responsible for the deaths of 100 million people. Indeed, if you follow both the left and right to their extremes you will clearly see that they are two sides of the same coin, a control mechanism.

The left/right paradigm plays to duality and the brains left/right hemispheres. Unfortunately within this cul-de-sac for the mind whether you choose the red or the blue pill, you still remain asleep to the bigger picture. From a social engineering perspective a nation that’s divided and asleep enables them to work in the dark. The left/right dichotomy plays to both sides of our brain hemispheres and yet equally fails to grant us a balanced and objective perception of reality. In reality, there is no right wing truth and there is no left wing truth, the truth simply is. Twisting the truth to suit political agendas has ensured that we now live in a world of illusion.

The alternating switch between the left and right (red and blue) dynamic sends opposing messages to each side of our brain hemispheres, leaving both ourselves and society without unity or a clearly defined direction/purpose. Our brains held in a passive aggressive state of flux (yes police lights are the same colour for a reason), passive and too forgiving of the mistakes of our leader and political party and aggressive and too confrontational towards those that offer contrary opinions and perspectives. We will never have unity within this dynamic and within this age of social media and search engines these chasms of division fracture ever wider. Complex algorithms insidiously enveloping the users and nudging them towards the extremes of their chosen ideology/political opinion.

The Mindset

As you may have already ascertained I’m not a fan of labels as I treat people how I like to be treated, as an individual. I’m simply going to refer to the people that have unknowingly aligned themselves with the globalist agenda as the mindset. I believe said mindset to be a socially engineered construct that is born out of cultural Marxism and post modernism. A world of a million labels and a billion divisions, divide and conquer masquerading as inclusivity.

Alongside this never ending array of labels and divisions, psychology has been increasingly nudged towards the victimhood mentality. Each new fracture, division and label carries a new layer of oppression. Now don’t get me wrong, there are people that have genuine grievances and are genuinely oppressed and my heart goes out to them. Equally, I also understand that the internet victimhood culture often moves attention away from real world issues and that is another reason why I believe it has been deliberately fermented.

Source

Self-perceived oppression is but one aspect of what I have come to term the population control trinity; oppression, entitlement and moral superiority. Together this trinity forms an alliance that has been created to destroy the fabric of society in order that it can be taylored to the design of the engineer/manipulator. Once the perception of oppression has been created, a sense of entitlement is carefully crafted and then moving forward the engineers are only too happy to capitalise upon entitlement to create a sense of moral and intellectual superiority. The self-perceived moral superiority often comes with a proviso that ensures the denigration of the majority, because if I’m right they must all be wrong and if they’re wrong they must lack brain capacity and empathy.

Source

On The loose

So after a generation of cultivation, manipulation and indoctrination these psychological Frankenstein monsters have been let loose to patrol the internet. They are the guards within the social media thought ghettos whilst the majority are the prisoners. They are the guardians of the narrative and the manipulated direction of our society, minds melded to the machinations of the control structure. With vitriol they police opinion and consensus, verbally attacking and dehumanising those that step beyond their clearly defined parameters of thought and opinion. Emboldened by their high ground and self perceived moral and intellectual superiority they are now the digital brown shirts that are here to police your thoughts, destroy your opinions, your reputations, jobs and lives.

By attaching labels to and collectivising anyone that dares escape their thought prison they lack the reflection to see that they have become what they purport to hate. They are a worldwide internet Stasi that seek to own the high ground and claim dominion over the general consensus. Perhaps it's prudent to pause and reflect upon the message that the Stanford prison experiment has for the prisoner, a message that clearly states that submission opens the door to totalitarianism. At some point we must draw an intellectual line in the sand.

Source

Why?

Now the reasons for this are legion and I've explored many of them in the posts I’ve attached at the bottom of this one, so today I’m just going to focus upon a couple of aspects. Every component/pillar of the NWO structure has been deliberately attached to the left and given a subconscious virtue. Every opposing argument has been attached to the far right and given a subconscious perception of fascism. Free speech is suddenly far right, nationalism is far right, Brexit is racist, anti globalism is a preserve of the far right and when the one world government is finally rolled out, to oppose it will also be far right!

They are using the left/right paradigm to assemble the NWO and the vast majority of people are falling for it. Instead of focusing on the fascist corporatocracy that is pulling the world apart (whilst pretending to bring it together) the guards are cheering it on, assembling the pillars of the NWO control mechanism.

Open Borders = One world government.

Mass Immigration (Migrant crisis) = Creating social unrest to justify the police state.

The destruction of a national identity = Worldwide citizen within a one world government/Kalergi plan.

The obsession with sexuality and gender labels = to divide the population and move focus away from real world issues and matters of consequence.

An over emphasis on gender identity issues and sexuality that is predominantly directed towards school-age children = Creating a confusion that will be used to gradually dismantle the construct of the nuclear family in order that the manipulators exert ever greater control over the minds of the youth. This also gradually feeds into the depopulation agenda.

Denigration and destruction of masculinity = Men are often seen as protectors of family and country, as such this is Trojan horse that allows the manipulators to destroy societies last line of defense. Again, this also feeds into the depopulation agenda.

I’m not against any of this because I’m a racist or a bigot, but because I know the intent behind it and what will be born out of it. It’s very clever because they have hidden the NWO control mechanism behind fake virtue and empathy and so that anyone who speaks out is racist or a phobe of varying description. Yes of course it’s our moral duty to call out racism and bigotry and people should be free to live their lives how they choose (you are all my brothers and sisters); but bigotry is not hidden behind every innocuous mistake, micro aggression or incorrect gender pronoun.

The Switch

A s I wrote in a previous post: The left/right paradigm both enables and drives the pendulum of totalitarianism, they manipulate the pendulum to swing to the far right and as people realise what is/has happened they attach the guilt to a populace that then instinctively runs back to the left (and vice versa). This is exactly what’s happening now and because everyone is looking to the right the pendulum of totalitarianism is currently swinging from the left, although they both feed each other and are controlled by the same puppet masters.

Now, the pendulum has been swinging for many years and so the engineers were aware that with the advent of the internet and the free flow of information people would seek to escape this perceptual prison, enter the alt-right and the alt left. As people burst out of one box they are increasingly having it replaced by another of a slightly larger size, a box that speaks to and justifies their innermost fears. Although it weaves truth amongst the fear, the alt left/alt-right paradigm is also a prison for the mind and whilst you operate within these confines it’s a trap from which there is no escape.

Indeed has anyone noticed how “truth” has been insidiously branded as alt-right and how blurred the lines are becoming between alt and far? This is an entirely deliberate attempt to draw us back into the paradigm; in fact as complex algorithms increasing nudge us towards the extremes of chosen ideologies, I believe they intend to subvert the truth movement and use it to create societal unrest. Tainting the very concept of “truth” and destroying this previous bastion of free speech, clever eh? Mark my words, truth will come to be defined as hate.

“The best way to control the opposition is to lead it ourselves.”

Very interesting! I deleted my social media accounts a few months ago, but not soon enough!

Hey @skycornish sorry for the delay in getting back to you but I haven't been around very much over the weekend. Really glad you enjoyed my post and yes very wise, social media (facebook etc) is a nefarious tool of division, manipulation and mass surveillance .. and yet it's a tool we enable with our every thought and photo share. Thanks again my friend

This is THE BEST post I have read in my 6 weeks+ on Steemit. Everything above is spot on. Every analysis succinct, precise and absolutely correct. This needs to go totally viral and be read by every freedom-loving citizen.

I will just add that TPTB have been studying the works and words of Kant and Hegel and thoroughly worked out a psychological system that is so viciously self-perpetuating that we are going to have to implement major truth bombs (like this article) to disturb the dialectic they have created.

The term "legitimate discourse" is the one they throw around to belittle truthers and others who have swallowed the red pill and will not turn back. They truly do have a matrix that they expect everyone to stay within. For now, they are content to belittle and deprive people of a means of sustenance for speaking (and acting) outside this matrix. It is clear, though, that we are on the very cusp of far more brutal repressions of such unwillingness to submit to their ideological boundaries. A Colorado baker nearly went to prison this week for simply refusing to employ his talents to support something with which he disagrees. Executions will not be far behind imprisonment unless we older folks are able to convey QUICKLY AND STRIDENTLY to those coming up behind us of THE TRUTHS CONTAINED IN THIS ARTICLE!!

We need to rebel collectively, and push back in an organized manner. We need to refuse to support by votes and taxes (and even our private purchase choices) all those things which underpin the current milieu. We need to get bills passed that disallow secret societies that promote globalism and socialism/communism. We need to require that all candidates for public office disclose all relationships to these societies (and restore written ballots and real paper trails.) We need to de-exempt the tax exempt foundations and think tanks. We need to legislate specifically against The Tavistock Institute and the New school for Social Research, and arrest their paid minions. We need to strictly regulate all the various think tanks that echo-chamber their "findings" and programs. We need to get at it NOW. Time is short.

Thank you @mepatriot .. I really do appreciate you taking the time to read my post and leave such a thoughtful and articulate comment. Equally, thank you for the kind words .. I'm humbled.

Yes I couldn't agree more .. I use the word insidious a couple of times in this post because for me it perfectly encapsulates what is happening .. an assault on our minds, the fabric of our society and the definition of our humanity. This is a war on perception and our minds are on the frontline! I very much agree that we need intellectually dismantle the matrix of control .. if someone can build it then it can be reverse engineered and understood. These people are very clever, but in their hearts, they are also psychopathic and psychopathy carries an inherent weakness of arrogance. If people become awake to these games (it is the elites final great game) and control mechanisms then the veil will lift and people will see the world as it is, for the emperor has no clothes. Arguing and fighting amongst one another is where they want us for they fear our spirit and our unity .. but my friend, the human spirit will rise again and when it does it will sweep aside these decaying vestiges of control and it will do it with love not hate. They control us through fear and hate .. we must give them neither. Thanks again .. I very much appreciate the support!

You're very welcome. I LITERALLY thank God for people such as yourself.

We need to strictly regulate all the various think tanks that echo-chamber their "findings" and programs.

How to do that when the ones who pass bills and legislation are the very ones who would be harmed by them being passed?

We will have to reach a critical mass of people having the requisite knowledge to get the right people into office first. I certainly am not saying it's likely.

Very eloquently said. Little late to reading this unfortunately!

I think that the paradigm of right and left is one of the biggest farces of our time. I fell victim to this; despite feeling like myself a free thinker, an ardent Bernie supporter I realized after when I had time to reflect that I was doing everything that I thought was wrong. I thankfully didn’t flame people all over social media but I rejected ideas, put people down and recruited people into my thought prison. It is one of the biggest reasons I ended up giving up traditional social poison platforms like Facebook.

What about the other experiment, I can’t remember the name, but I believe it was at Yale? Where people were believing that they were giving people electric shocks and when it got to a fatal dose many people actually did end up giving it despite it not being what they wanted to do. They were just ‘doing what they were told.’ The shocks were never delivered of course; there were actors crying in simulated pain. It shows the extent of the wicked human condition.

Hey @cmplxty no problem and sorry for the delay in getting back to you but I haven't been around very much over the weekend. Yes the left/right paradigm is a prison for the mind .. pure hopium, because this time it's going to be different .. isn't it? It's so easy to get drawn into and yet people don't seem to realise we continue to spin in ever decreasing circles and nothing ever changes .. well apart from the slow but steady erosion of our freedoms.

I think the experiment you're talking about is called the Milgram experiment .. and yes it clearly displayed that rather than refuse orders there were a certain demographic of the population that are willing to inflict pain and even kill on command! We have become so indoctrinated to these control mechanisms and the hierarchical construct of our society, that orders circumvent our capacity for empathy and compassion .. scary stuff! Thanks again for the great comment my friend.

I think it's very important that individuals stop kowtowing
or even attempting to apologize to these types of people.

They will at times feign offense at the slightest of things
and if you say that you are sorry that you hurt their feelings,
many times, they will harness that energy and use it to fuel
their false sense of righteous indignation wherein they turn
immediately from victim to persecutor.

So if they want to play a victim I'd give them no reason to leave
that role not with an apology from me anyhow.

They can stay in their victim role. I'm not the type to intentionally
try to trigger an SJW just for the fun of it, I'm just recounting
people being accused of cultural appropriation, and what not.

I take that back. I might apologize strategically if for example I was
accused of stealing someone's culture, I may offer to turn myself
into the police if they'd be willing to first report the theft. This, just
to see if they'd be willing to mix a little reality in with their fantasy world.

Hey @thoughts-in-time Thanks for stopping by. You know I often hear these people speak and realise that they neither use their own words or their own thoughts .. they are a collection of buzzwords set to emotional triggers i.e they have been programmed to speak and act in a certain way, and yet they are entirely unaware that their mind is not their own. I think we're being deliberately pushed towards some kind of adversarial and confrontational position and that this will be capitalised upon to create societal unrest. I think it's very wise not to intentionally trigger these people otherwise we become part of the problem and not the solution. Equally, if we have a valid point that is said without hatred we must remain, firm, calm and resolute .. indeed they seek anger and social media meltdowns so it's best to starve them of their oxygen and just keep pushing forward with facts, sure many will are lost and will never listen to a opposing views/opinions but it's the people who are reading these exchanges (the silent majority) that can still be reached with more coherent ideas and thought processes. Thanks again my friend

I think you're right. It seems TPTB wants a cultural revolution
of sorts, but I don't think it's going to happen with this snow-
flake generation. You look at'em too hard and they'll melt.
Their entire project if you ask me was a huge waste of time and
money. I think the trend is passing, generation Z isn't buying it.

Yes, I know exactly what you mean and I do agree that they are losing the ability to control the high ground. Equally, whilst we rightly focus on the extremities of this spectrum the general consensus has also been quietly shifted to the left and so for the next round (and there will be one) they already have a starting point that is more weighed in their favor .. two steps forward one step back. But yes I have great hopes for generation Z .. I think intelligence is going to eventually outgrow the elite's ability to control it. One day they will be akin the proverbial little boy that's trying to hold the mighty dam back by plugging his finger in the hole .. except this dam will be consciousness and when it breaks it will sweep aside the last vestiges of the control system.

Thanks for the insightful post, including your analyses. With the vigorous ethical hurdles all new research has to jump through, it is unlikely we will ever see anything like this again. Resteemed!

Thank you my friend, I'm really grateful for the support and I equally glad you enjoyed my post .. thanks again @bengiles

Waiting for you here, for when you set yourself free, I know what you know, come on over bro, the cost will be? free.

Thank you my friend, I really appreciate the offer .. I would love to be free amongst free-thinking individuals and I know you speak words of wisdom. When the time is right, I will heed my inner voice and we will be sharing that beer .. or three :) Thanks again @deliberator you're a top man!

I await, and my land is your land, you may pay me no fee, that is me.

How does a person change by having the power of a good man to a willing demon? Who decides tyranny is not individual morality but the social milieu. The experience of Stanford raises alarm about the nature of man
Prison is an experiment for a person who commits the forbidden thing
It is a fair punishment for the wicked
A very wonderful article Really well published My friend You are a really successful person

Thank you @roselover I'm really pleased you appreciated my post and could see where I'm coming from. And yes indeed it really makes you look at prison (and positions of power) from a different perspective, the lines are certainly becoming increasingly blurred. A misstep or a change in perception could change the dynamic in an instant. Thanks again my friend

I often wonder how much of this is manipulated and how much is just allowing human nature to do its thing. Are they manipulating things a certain way or do they just watch the petty squabbles develop and sit back while we do their work for them? That prison experiment is just one instance that shows how easily we can fall into the moral superiority trap. We can't help ourselves. Being important makes us feel good.

It's very difficult to quantify an answer to that question in one comment .. it's a huge subject and one that I have been researching for thirty years. It's my belief that over a long period of time our perceptual reality has been manipulated and inverted, indeed our perception of power is that of control and subjugation, but as I wrote recently "control is no measure of power, it is an imposter and a lie". Our semantics have also been distorted and in essence, the meaning we place upon self and the world at large. The thought forms/beliefs that we derive from certain words (or patterns of word) act akin to an intrinsic control system; manipulating perception and defining the boundaries of the possible. When you see how people react during disasters etc etc the immediate knee-jerk reaction is to help .. that is what I believe is the natural essence of our humanity but that our true path has been subverted by the message that society whispers into our ears from childhood .. dog eat dog, survival of the fittest etc etc etc. Thanks again @minismallholding

dog eat dog, survival of the fittest etc etc etc

Another comparison to dogs is we're kind of like beaten dogs that have learnt to go against their instincts out of fear. With so much being illegal we can be torn between assisting and fear of reprisal for breaking a law. Since the decline of communities where we knew everyone it's now easier for us to turn away from someone who needs help because we don't know them. So there's another indication of possible manipulation which plays on our natural instincts.

Hey, my brother. I decided to follow you on the fan trail, that way I would be able to upvote of your posts. Even if I didn't get a chance to read them, your work will always get my vote!
You may not remember, but I did a post a few months ago concerning the Stanford Prison Experiment as well as the Milgram experiments, which were another angle on how far that people are willing to obey orders from those that are perceived as "authority" figures.

Interestingly enough, Professor Philip Zimbardo wrote a book about the conclusions of the experiment called The Lucifer Effect, which I highly recommend reading if anyone wants to further understand the experiment as well as human psychology.
There is an old saying that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely! The main teaching and thread of zimbardo's book is that everyone has a light and a dark side. We all have the capacity to do what some would consider evil. Human nature is something that never changes, and even the most honorable of men can sometimes become corrupted.
We must remember that in reality, there are no "governments" or "countries". There are only people and the networks and buildings that we create. There will never be any true freedom, peace, or tranquility these structures in place !
Behind nearly every motive of men there lies a dollar bill. Everything in commerce, by design, involves profit and loss. Someone will gain , while another loses.
This plays right into the hands of duality and the social engineers understand duality very well! They have used it against the general population as a silent weapon in their quiet war.
Nearly everything in society is geared towards left brain thinking people. In occult science and human psychology, the left brain represents masculine force and linear thinking. This worldview is unbalanced and without the holistic balancing of the brain hemispheres, the polarity of our world is becoming increasingly more violent and aggressive.
In the yin and yang, both polarities must be equally represented. No matter what a person's opinion is of Mark Passio, he explains this very well in his lectures on the destruction of the Sacred feminine.

Hey dude, good to hear from you, I don't know if you read one of my recent posts but I was laying out a similar analysis regarding the left brain. I was projecting it into the future and imagining our brains becoming more robotic, pre-programmed logic and control mechanisms gradually preparing us for a future connection to the internet, I will write some more about this and knowing your sphere of interest/expertise I think you may be interested in the concept that I'm slowly putting together in my mind .. so yes I very much agree with what you're saying.

The post you mentioned does ring a bell I will have to check it again .. be interesting to gain another perspective, in fact I'm going to look for it now. ;) I was going to include the Milgram experiment on this post but I couldn't really work it into the narrative that I was trying to create, so I thought I'd save it for another day and try to think of a way that I could open it up and bring it into the net or the wider collective. I used a similar concept for the brave new world & 1984 internet mashup which I wrote a few months back. You'll have to let me know about this fan trail thing .. that way I won't miss your work either .. thanks for stopping by @mindzai

Hey my friend, the fantrail thing can be found on www.steemauto.com
You can do a search for anyone on Steemit and follow them, upvoting their posts as well as setting the percentage of the vote weight and number of posts that you want to vote for.

I included this link for a piece that I wrote a while back, mentioning both the Stanford & Milgram experiments.
And here's a link to Mark Passio's lecture on the destruction of the sacred feminine, IMO it's brilliant and easy to digest.
I am eager to read your upcoming work on the left brain thesis, if I can be of any assistance please don't hesitate to ask!

WOW that's Top Content there dude!
Resteemed for sure, that's a lot off effort for an epic result :)

Thank you for the support @movingman .. I put some pretty deep thought into this post so I'm really glad you appreciated it. Thanks again dude!

That's very obvious to the reader I hope! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORKS :)

As always, that's one hell of a post @perceptualflaws

Despite the overwhelming scope of it all, there's a part of me that feels like it's become too large to hold itself together. And the more it grows the more obvious the webs of deceit and control appear to more and more people. The truth will prevail and set us free-- one way or another. Or maybe I'm just a foolish optimist.

Thank you for the support @fadedhistory .. yes I very much agree that this system is going to collapse under its own weight and although it will get darker yet it's prudent to note, that it's always darkest before dawn. I'm very optimistic about the future and I feel that the control structure ultimately have a part to play in pushing us towards a crisis point that will demand we change the entire construct and shape of our society .. the birthing pains of a new age. Equally, I feel it very important that we wake people up to these nefarious control mechanisms in order that they can escape them .. knowledge is power. This is an age of great danger and yet profound possibilty. Thanks again my friend.

Dr. Zimbardo, the man behind the "Stanford Prison Experiment," is a pompous little prick and a laughably incompetent social scientist. I met the painted cockroach a few times a three years ago and learned firsthand something of his character at a cocktail party in Oakland, where I was confirmed in my estimation of his "experiment."

If he had any true respect for the dignity of man, he would not have performed his famous experiment on human beings. And if he was any bit intelligent, he would have already knew or could've discovered from philosophical investigation how the experiment would turn out.

Anyways there was no reason to perform the experiment; it had already been done. He was just ripping off the original scientists. For at the time the Soviets had been conducting the very same experiment on a societal level since 1917. It is not like the results were not known to the West. Solzhenitsyn had already came out with his revelatory "The Gulag Archipelago" detailing, in more detail than a tiny, poorly-designed experiment can possibly do, the horrific result.

Yes, although I don't know Zimbardo I believe what you're saying to be true .. equally that is a contributing factor as to why I didn't name him. He was also complicit in the abuse, I believe he relished the transient power it gave him .. indeed from memory I think he wanted to continue the experiment until it's bitter end and it was his girlfriend that stopped it? I shall have to check.

In this instance, I was simply using a recognisable example in order to create a narrative that displays how society is fermenting similar mindsets. But yes a cursory glance at human history viscerally reveals the power of control mechanisms .. equally whilst the prisoner is physically imprisoned, the guard is a prisoner of conformity and collectivisation over individuality and empathy, indeed from the perspective of the manipulator/social engineer they are both enslaved. Thanks

There's some great stuff in this post. Thank you @perceptualflaws

I have a question though: You mention that oppressive forces want to create:

a confusion that will be used to gradually dismantle the construct of the nuclear family in order that the manipulators exert ever greater control over the minds of the youth.

But, in my understanding, the nuclear family is a precise replica of the Stanford Prison Experiment. And has been designed by the state to exert control over the minds of the youth. Typically a modern family is two 'guards' in a closed, private space, given the authoritarian role of 'parents'. While the younger beings are given the role of 'children' (prisoners).

Now, I know that not everyone in this dynamic acts out the prescribed role, but as you have demonstrated in this post, the structure itself tends to promote the inevitable corruption of hierarchal roles into abuses. Given that it may be that more than 1 in 3 children are sexually abused, and often within the home, and the 'family' is endorsed by the state, I invite consideration of the possibility that the nuclear family is very often a structural agent of the state. Very intentionally designed to enforce the rules of the state. The 'family' construct is a cultural oddity when observed from the perspective of all human history. Probably arising fairly recently, with patriarchal society and early agrarian concepts of property ownership.

In short, have you considered that nuclear families are a symptom of the problem of unquestioning order-following? I know that as a child I, and the children around me, were all beaten by our families until we followed orders unquestioningly.

The psychologist Alice Miller writes about this extensively and attributes Nazism to early conditioning at the hands of nuclear families.

From my perspective, world government relies on families to construct authoritarian systems in the family home (covert prison system) to undermine the independence of citizens at their most vulnerable developmental stage.

I feel the parallel between the Stanford Prison Experiment and many 'family' homes is so strong that I may write a post about it next week.

Thank you for inspiring these thoughts.

Thank you for stopping by @matrjoschka I feel as though your question speaks to the fact that experience creates perception. Indeed your experience of childhood has left you with a negative perception of the family unit, equally because you lived that experience your perspective is valid. From my perspective, I enjoyed a very good childhood, a childhood that respected and indeed exalted individuality and my right to free expression of said individuality. A childhood that nurtured and grew my consciousness as opposed to one that sought to contain it, direct it and build walls around it.

I don't feel our current problems originate from the construct of the family unit but that they derive from a broken society. A society that looks outwards and not inwards for answers to the problems that we face. Indeed the day we began to externalise our family and community responsibility is for me where our problems began, little Jimmy down the road is messing around so instead of taking responsibility as a parent or a community we'll call the police or social services, let them deal with it because we no longer have the time to look beyond ourselves. Grandma is getting old and we're too busy so lets just put her in an old peoples home. Little Mikey is hyperactive lets put him on Ritalin.

It's the externalisation of our problems that has led to this moment in time, it has destroyed community and drained empathy. We need to learn how to take responsibility for ourselves and everyone around us, organically rebuild our communities from the ground up as opposed to looking to the hierarchical machinations of government to fix our every problem. A broken society creates broken people and broken people create broken families, this goes far deeper than the family unit. Indeed a broken family is simply a mirror image of the society from which it originates. Equally, you mention that the family is a relatively modern construct that may be true .. but then again so is our ability to read and write and so it's age should not preclude it's validity. Indeed a world where men spread their seed with no responsibility is (I believe) a recipe for disaster and a backward step (take a look at the ghetto's of inner-city America). Equally, the ability to mandate birth rates or control population whether it's by a community or government body, again plays into the Stanford prison dynamic .. no collective should herald this power for power corrupts.

I think the state has certainly had a part to play in putting archaic perceptions in the minds of parents "children should be seen at not heard" and the one I've always hated "respect your elders" indeed whether adult or child respect is earned and should never be given .. that is a dangerous concept. Unfortunately, a cursory glance at our world will display that humanity is ripe for these perceptual manipulations. Societal engineers have always hated the concept of the nuclear family and they attempt to subvert it and denigrate it at every possibility, again a cursory glance at the history of totalitarianism will reveal that statement to be veritas. As people awaken to these games the state seeks to gain ever greater influence over the minds of the youth and I feel many of these psychologists are born out of this mindset. I don't hold a great deal of credence with the work of Alice Miller and her nazism analysis, I don't see how being a parent or an adult within a wider community would have negated the Nazi mind control techniques and so either way, the children would have been indoctrinated. Again with a nod to totalitarianism the Hitler youth movement sought to denigrate and fracture the family unit.

Equally, when you look at the gang culture throughout the world it can be directly attributed to a lack of a father figure, a role model. I'm very wary of statements that say over 1 in 3 children are being abused, I don't feel this is reflective and I certainly don't believe 1 in 3 children are being abused at home. I feel a well balanced and well-meaning family unit is the best fit for a child's wellbeing .. as much as children need to be able to express their individuality they must also understand boundaries, morality and to be able to exercise self-constraint and I feel the family unit is the best place to fulfill this ideal. Ultimately I feel this comes down to a perception and as perception is born out of experience I don't feel bad experience is enough to denigrate the entire construct of the nuclear family, we're all individuals and many individuals have nothing but the very best interests of their children at heart. My contention is focused directly at society, our definitions of success, the consumer culture, inverted perceptions of power .. the subliminal messages it whispers into the ears of our youth. Some parents may manifest the problem, but they are not the problem. Thanks again my friend.
