Photo Series #60: La Plata River, Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay | ColorChallenge - Orange Tuesday
Hello dear readers! Trying this time the color challenge. Do you like sunsets?
I've posted this photo waaaay earlier, when I've started on steemit, I hope you guys don't mind a little repost, as I think this deservers to be seen and because I wanted to participate on the #ColorChallenge by @czechglobalhosts.
I gotta add that looking back I feel incredibly glad about my progress here, it's all thanks to you!
As for the photo, it was taken in Colonia del Sacramento facing the La Plata river in Uruguay. I had been wandering on the streets waiting for the sunset for hours and I wasn't disapointed. It was one of the most amazing sunsets I have ever seen in my life, couldn't believe the colors.

I had to look up the latitudes, I grew up
in northern California ;-)

Mouth of the river San Francisco

Colonia del Sacramento Uruguay latitude
34.4607° S
Found that kind of interesting the names of
places and locations on the map, not to far
off in numbers away from the equator.
Handy for them ancient mariners eh!
Wow isn't that a gigantic coincidence? Same line, diferente poles!
Is Sacramento in California named by the Spanish? Colonia del Sacramento in Uruguay is really interesting as it was the scene of many disputes between portuguese and spanish.
