"Character Building..." - Daily Word #45

Rick Warren says "Every Problem is a Character Building Opportunity"... how true.

I agree with that statement and like to add on by saying "Every Day is an Opportunity to Learn about Ourselves and Change Ourselves to Become Better".

Today I was at my local church and was privileged to hear from visiting Indian Pastor. He leads an amazing Prayer and Holy Spirit focused congregation of 40,000!

There are many areas that we can Build according to him, but the first essential area is to Build a Strong Personal Character. How true!!

Live a Holy Life - Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God. Source
It's so true. If we can't live a life that is Holy and acceptable/pleasing to God to begin with, there is no reason calling ourselves Believers. We should just be like everyone else. We need to be set-apart and set away from the world but be radically different in how we act, live - wherever we may be. Not just putting on a good show on Sunday. :)
Be a Man/Woman of Peace - Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God. Source
Imagine if our lives are always filled with squabbles, quarrels, arguments, disagreements, unhappiness, etc. It would not be a testimony the Lord's goodness in our life. We have to watch our fruits that come out from our daily conversations and connections. Does it lift people up or does it put people down. Ask yourself, 'Are you a person of Peace or something else?'
Fear the Lord - Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Source
The Pastor shared a personal story... He was recently accused for something he did not do. The case became a criminal case as it involved squandering a large sum of money. Even the Police was sent to arrest him. He said, 'if you are persecuted, then you know that you are walking right with the Lord'. And so he prayed for one whole week on his own and right after that, miraculously the case against him was dropped!! Don't be afraid of the people who will come to harm you, accuse you, or even try to destroy you, be more concerned about having the Fear of the Lord.
