"Wicked..." - Daily Word #42

Have you watched "Wicked - The Musical"? Actually it was quite entertaining...I watched that a couple of years ago whilst on vacation.

What does Wicked mean in the Dictionary... "morally very bad, evil"...to "causing or likely to cause harm, distress"... and even to "going beyond reasonable or predictable limits". Source

The Bible talks about Wickedness in a fairly different way: "the state of being wicked; a mental disregard for justice, righteousness, truth, honour, virtue; evil in thought and life; depravity; sinfulness; criminality." Source

Today I'd like to continue from Psalm 1:4-6... and the word "Wicked" comes up here.

But how different are the Wicked. All they are is dust in the wind — driven away to destruction! Source

The Wicked will not endure the day of judgment, for God will not defend them. Nothing they do will succeed or endure for long, for they have no part with those who walk in truth. Source

Here's what I am getting from the scriptures above...

God will never let go the Wicked go unpunished.
God will never defend nor support the Wicked.
God will never align Himself with the Wicked.
God will never allow the Wicked succeed for long.

Thank God for that... You see, the Wicked may seem to be winning or succeeding (even though they may be doing Evil), but God will not allow that to happen continuously. It will all catch up on them.

So take heart. Don't give up doing Good. For in the Right Season, He will make things well for you. See the next verse below...

But how different it is for the Righteous! The Lord embraces their paths as they move forward while the way of the wicked lead only to doom. Source

It is reassuring that as a Believer, GOD Himself will Embrace and Watch over your path, as you walk faithfully with Him.
