23 de Abril Día del libro
Un día como hoy, 23 de abril de 1476 (calendario Juliano) murió un personaje que hizo del teatro la más alta representación de la poesía y del drama humano. Se llamaba William Shakespeare. El dramaturgo inglés fué bautizado el 26 de Abril, y por ello muchos historiadores dicen que pudo haber nacido también un 23 de Abril.
Y en una increíble coincidencia, también un día como hoy, estaba siendo sepultado el más grande exponente de las letras españolas de todos los tiempos. Don Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, el creador de aquella figura inmortal: El Quijote de la mancha.
Dos personajes que permitieron, con su maravilloso talento, que millones de personas en el mundo hayan vivido los mejores momentos de lectura, en medio de Romeo y Julieta, El Mercader de Venecia, Otelo, o el mismo Quijote de la Mancha, y las Novelas Ejemplares.
En honor a los más grandes exponentes de la literatura en su respectiva lengua, se instauró el 23 de Abril como el día internacional del libro y los derechos de autor.
