I'd be very surprised if you've never heard of @shayne before. I had to scroll far to find his introduction video - he's been here a long time. Shayne calls himself "The Independent Optimist" in his introduction video and he has posted many useful articles for navigating the complexities the Steem community. His advice is solid and it played a part in inspiring me to post with the intention of connecting more with the community.
He is also an excellent artist and he is currently posting a webcomic especially for Steem, which I'm featuring in this article.
He is one of the first people that I followed when I first logged on and I highly recommend that you do the same, whether you're a newcomer or a veteran of Steem.

I'm looking for new Art, Video, Music, Cartoons, etc and I'll try to feature as many artists as possible from the comments section
Originality is the most important criteria, so for example, I'm unlikely to feature photography or cryptocurrency related content because there is already a lot of that.
I have been here for two weeks and I found Shayne through @mericanhomestead who was also instrumental in getting me to come on over to steemit. Very grateful to be here and to find such wonderful people with so much helpful information to facilitate our success! :)

aha now I got your blogging style. These introductory posts will definitely be helpful for those who are interested in art and artists themselves, I guess. Interesting!

I only just recently saw the latest comic and realised he was an artist too and normally I wouldn't be inclined to feature someone with almost a thousand followers (I'm hoping to feature undiscovered talents as often as possible) but then I saw that, even though he's doing really well with his articles, the comic had a lot less support than his other posts.
