It's time for singing Christmas carols at the BLACKLUX holiday party! Have some fun while you help out a Steemian recovering from hurricanes Irma and Maria. It's a 14-day party with music, food, games, and more! There are 3 ways to win a prize here on Christmas Day. So be sure to read carefully!

Here's a version of 'O Holy Night' that I can actually sing along with, lol. 'O Holy Night' has a complicated and interesting history. This version uses lyrics close to the original version.

Why We're Having a BLACKLUX Party
It's the season for holiday parties. Steemit needs a party! And hurricanes Irma and Maria devastated Puerto Rico. Our friend, @blacklux, is living through the mess -- still! I've wanted to help out, but wasn't sure how. I wasn't sure if she would even be able to stay connected with Steemit -- or be able access her Steemit funds to help recover. She's put out real effort to connect here on Steemit when she can get online. It took awhile for her to just get access to electricity and clean water. I really enjoy her sense of humor, here on Steemit and back on Tsu, too. And she has kept that sense of humor intact, too, all through the hurricane mess!

We have to go through New Years Day, lol! We still have lots of partying to do! More food and music, jokes, sharing what our winter looks like, thinking about the past year, and getting ready for 2018. I've been wanting to do another Steemit party - and I'm glad this one can help out. It's amazing what we can do on Steemit -- Enjoy the party! : )

This is one of my favorites. I have always loved Nat King Cole's voice. "O Little Town of Bethlehem"

I must agree, O Holy Night is a real zinger. Especially with a full choir behind it for the chorus. Makes my hair stand on end whenever I hear it that way. Yikes. I'm looking to see if I can find a copy somewhere. They did the best version I've ever heard in my church on Christmas eve years back. Then again, it's hard to beat live music. Well, off to look for some, thanks for putting this on, and have a nice night, and Merry Late Christmas.
