The Basic Attention Token (BAT) goes along with Brave Browser to give an ecosystem where there is efficiency in digital advertising.
Brave features include Ad-Blocker, Ad-Tracker but most important, it has a ledger system that anonymously captures user attention. Basically is fast, open-sourced and privacy oriented.
2- PROBLEMS SOLVING
Basically everybody who is part of the digital advertising world is hurt by middlemen.
Users, Publishers and Advertisers are losing huge amounts of money not just because that middlemen but because of the trackers and malvertising.
Up to 50% of mobile data is gone because of ads and trackers.
Google and Facebook take about EVERY revenue of advertising.
Advertisers lack good and reliable information of the market they're targeting.
3- A PERFECT MATCH!
When Brave Browser and the BAT join forces, its a WIN-WIN for EVERYBODY taking action into the digital advertising world.
Brave knows where you're spending you're time and your clicks (the exact amount of seconds, and clicks) that's how publisher rewards are calculated.
Users can also get rewarded to be a target of ads (less prone to malware) and to get tracked anonymously to collect the data for advertisers.
Basically everything you agreed on with Facebook and Google but the difference is that you're getting paid for it.

The token utility is derived from user attention, meaning the mental engagement of a person on advertisement and content.
