intercourse, we see an India, prior to the arrival of Islam, at ease
with depictions of the nude body.

For over 2000 years, Hindus have worshiped Mahadeva and his
consort Parvati as the source of all creation. Representations in
both natural and iconic form are prayed to by women seeking to
have children. The Shiva Linga is the primary representation
of fertility in most Shiva temples.
