Our pets can get stressed during the holidays, too. Strange people, new stuff, and don't forget they pick up on our state of minds and feel our emotions.
If you're stressed, Fido and Midnight probably are as well.
Sequestering them in a quiet room during festivities and trying to keep their daily routine as normal as possible helps.
Be sure to give them extra attention. That's what will comfort them the most- time with you <3

Yes you are right... There is a cat in neighbourhood and there are lots of guests coming for Christmas.. The poor cat is confused and is literally homeless... Taking shelter at our place from few days.. All the places it had named for itself has been occupied by the guests... And that too a irritating little girl has come who just boos and gives nightmare when the cat goes for a small nap... Poor furball.. Its now in our house, and yes, we have hi jacked it... M

Thanks for the helpful reminder, I have three wonderful cats and I had forgotten how much I can affect their stress level without even realizing it. I don't know what I'd do if anything ever happened to them. Happy Holidays!

Yes you are right. I have a pet. Her name is Mini. When she see unknown person(my guest) she is scared. She hide any corner of my house. We should take care of them in holidays.
It is our responsibility to make them at ease :)
In my home we always give our pet relaxing medicine so she doesn’t get nervous with the fireworks.
It’s our duties to take care of them 24/7 and they always get super nervous hearing those sounds

A cat's jaw has only up and down motion; it does not have any lateral, side to side motion, like dogs and humans.
But both dogs and cats can smile :)
Unlike humans, cats do not need to blink their eyes on a regular basis to keep their eyes lubricated.

Good advice! Keeping them in a quiet room also prevents them from sneaking food which could be poisonous to them.
Good point- and plants: poinsettias are poisonous to cats!
