On my visit to Gantry Plaza State park I had to get some shots of this big Pepsi sign a well known Landmark in NYC.
Starting with a shot of it in the distance on the right of this shot.

Now getting a little closer you can see it over the trees and get a sense of its size

And a bit closer, the funny thing is I used to be a big can of the opposition to Pepsi and would never drink Pepsi, well I still never drink Pepsi but also seldom ever drink any Soda, but I digress as I wasn't a Pepsi fan I seldom took shots of this sign, silly I know but this post makes up for that.

And finishing off with this shot where they full sign is shown clearly, I waited for a while hoping someone would come walking past on the footpath in front of the sign to give a good sense of its size, but not a single person came walking by while I was there.

Maybe I'm just in a crummy mood, but the people in the apartment building behind that sign probably pay a king's ransom to live there -- and back of that sign is what they have to look at every day. Oh, yuk!!
@enchantedspirit Not at all its a very good point, The apartments there are cheaper than Manhattan prices but still pretty high and as you say all they see is the back of the sign LOL
The first image is so gorgeous that the others are far far behind it :)
@zen-art Thanks for your visit and thoughts :)

@rebeccabe Thnaks have a great day
Nice angles on the shots, I never was a big fan of Pepsi either, my favorite soda has always been Squirt, a lemon lime grapefruit tasting soda. When I was younger Vodka & Squirt was a drink I really enjoyed.
Now I am pretty much tea and water with an occasional beer.
How big is that sign in feet do you guess? Looks pretty dang big.
@sultnpapper Thanks I dont think I have ever tried Squirt i used to be a fiend for Conal COla but these days pretty much just water
The Sign is huge I think I read somewhere the P and the C are 44 Feet Tall
That is pretty dang tall , I bet that sign came with a pretty hefty price tag.
@sultnpapper Ohh yeah I wonder what it cost I must look that up
Every city has its iconic signs. In Baltimore, we have the Domino Sugar sign sitting over the harbor. We used to have a Pepsi Cola sign on the city’s bottling plant , but that was just converted to a Union Craft Brewing sign. Progress!
@dabeckster well I have never been a Pepsi fan and I used to love beer, so I think that's good progress
I think I remember seeing shots of the Domino sign
great colors and clarity...I would love to be near the water. I remember the competition
@photobe I find it so refreshing to be by the water
Thanks :)
