The Latest Takemyvotes event - Winners
I am late getting the prizes out
but they are on their way. We had a DDoS attack and also steemd.com was down during the entirety if the last contest so - no front runner votes came in.
I also tried to edit the post during the DDoS attack and caused 45 votes to be cast on a comment by @runningman (I think I caused it) - not my intent.
Either way...
I am paying out the tie between @progressivechef (8 votes) and @bleujay (8 votes) @booster votes to them (20SBD each)
I am also sending 20 SBD to @booster so that the booster bot will vote on @runningman too - in case he got those votes before my comment (it was supposed to be an edit to the post - hehe.)

There is one thing that I could not understand though...you paid for 20SBD on each of the 3 comments, but the return was only ~8SBD, you lost 12 SBD per comments mate.
I think if you will repeat the contest again, maybe you can work it out in another way. Well this is only my opinion.

The reward pool constantly changes (rewards higher sometimes, lower others) and booster has just changed to a shorter voting period (lower returns on investment?) .
There are so many things in flux these days. So I have to experiment in order to find what is or is not doable.
Booster gives people the ability to know when a high dollar vote is coming to a certain post or comment. That doesn't mean there are 25 whales watching at the time. If there were many watching, they could vote ahead of the 20SBD vote I paid for and your prize would have been much higher.
The above has been the case before the recent changes hit.
Either way, I am going to play with prizes of some sort to allow minnows to get a 10 or 20 dollar kick on their comment. It doesn't need o be profitable for me. I do, however need Steemit to be successful as do most large investors. So that is my motivation.
Ah ok, now I understand your strategy my friend. You really thought for the best for everyone, this is what I always appreciate with you!

So, I am not sure I understand how this works...
There is a bot called booster. If you pay it, the bot will vote for any post you specify. I paid for booster to upvote the 3 best comments on my last contest.
It's all experimental at this point - trying to have a contest that pays really well. I do it to energize the community and have fun, that's all.
