Hong Kong Girl Guides Association | 香港女童軍總會 - Girls' toys (2) | 小女孩玩耍篇 (二)

Hong Kong Girl Guides Association became a full member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in 1978. It is the only Guide organization in Hong Kong, serving over 55 thousands of members.

香港女童軍總會在1978年世界女童軍總會舉行第23屆世界會議，獲通過成附屬會員。1981年世界女童軍總會正式接納香港為正式會員，正名為香港女童軍總會。

There are six levels in the Guiding programme:

• Happy Bee - Parent-Child Programme for ages 4 to 6 years old, accepts both boys and girls
• Brownie (小女童軍) - 6 to 12 years old
• Guide (女童軍) - 10 to 18 years
• Ranger (深資女童軍) - 15 to 23 years old
• Golden Guide (樂齡女童軍) - over 60 years old
• Guider (女童軍領袖) - volunteer leader, over 21 years old

整個女童軍分為6個經組別

• 快樂小蜜蜂 - 4-6歲，對象以就讀幼稚園中班及高班的男女兒童為主。
• 小女童軍 - 6-12歲， 小女童軍的年齡介乎六至十二歲
• 女童軍 - 10-18歲，女童軍組的年齡介乎十至十八歲
• 深資女童軍 - 總共分為三種類別：深資女童軍（15-23歲）、深資海女童軍（15-23歲）及 深資航空女童軍（17-23歲）。
• 樂齡女童軍 - 55歲或以上，樂齡女童軍是特別為55歲以上的女性長者而設立的。
• 領袖 - 21歲或以上，凡年滿21歲或以上的女性，願意為女童軍運動服務。

My daughter’s school allows girls at Primary 4 to join Brownie, which is something she has been waiting for years. That’s why she enrolled at once this year. We had to get her uniform ready real soon, so we went to Hong Kong Girl Guides Association building the Saturday before. It was located at 8 Gascoigne Road, Kowloon.

女兒一直很想參加女童軍的活動，而她小學在四年級開始在校內亦有小女童軍活動，所以女兒今學年一開始就報名參加了。就是因為這樣，我們在再上一個星期六去了女童軍總部大廈，即九龍加士居道8號，為女兒購買制服。

As expected, there was a long line there while we arrived because people were only available during weekends. I believed we had to wait for at least one hour.

跟預計的一樣，大部分人都是在週未才有空來到這裏，我們到達時就有一條長長的人龍在前面，估計要排一個小時才能買到制服。

I asked my daughter to line up so that I could walk around and took some photos.

我讓女兒排隊，我到處拍照。

There was limited space indoor, at the middle of the room was the line for puchasing. There were Girl Guides related items posted on the surrounding walls. On the signboard was the sizing table of their Uniforms. Parents could make use of this table to decide what size should they buy so that they didn't need to waste time at the counter.

到了室內，只見到有限空間中有著不少開心的小女孩。除了中間的位置被人龍佔用了之外，四圍的牆上都是貼滿了女童軍相關的資料。其中亦有制服的尺碼對照表，使我們可以預先知道該買那一個尺碼，不用到了付款處才慢慢量度。

We bought a set of uniform at the counter according to the sizing table. However, the counter staff suggested us to get one size under. Since we could get a free exchange later, we decided to keep what we asked for.

終於到了我們，我們根據尺碼表買了制服，不過職員看到女兒之後說我們應該買細一個尺碼。不過我們還是決定先照着尺碼表購買，反正可以退換的。

Between the fitting room and cashier counter was the showcase area while Girl Guides badges and accessories where exhibited.

在付款處和試身室中間有一個展覽櫃的展覽板，展示了不同的女童軍徽章和精品。

My daughter tried on the uniform, it was too big!

女兒一試之下，制服果然太大。

After changing to a smaller size, the uniform seen to be just fit.

換細了一個尺碼之後便妥當了。

Just as expected, we left the building 1.5 hours later. My daughter was very excited and couldn't wait for her first Girl Guides activity in uniform.

跟預計的差不多，在一個半小時之後我們離開了。女兒亦懷着興奮的心情去等待她的的一次穿著制服的小女童軍活動。
