Capricorn -- The Cardinal Earth Sign in Astrology
There are three Earth Signs in the Zodiac: Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn. These three signs tend to get along well with each other because of their common values.
This is the quality associated with common sense, groundedness, practicality, and a natural talent for dealing with the physical business of life. The ambitions of the Earth signs are different from the "personality based" aims of the Fire signs, the heavy-duty intellectual interests of the Air signs, or the emotional and intuitive focus of the Water signs.

There are four Cardinal Signs in the Zodiac: Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn These four signs tend to have problems with each other ... because they have different approaches to life.
Cardinal signs are leaders. They work through the power of personal charisma. They are interested in getting things started ... making progress on new initiatives ... and establishing their vision in the world -- according to their values and interests. Cardinal signs can be pushy and demanding ... but they dig in, take charge, and get the job done.

Dynamic Practicality
Capricorn is Cardinal Earth. As the active component of the Earth signs, Capricorn is ambitious, pragmatic, and organized. He doesn't take much on faith ... or go by "feelings." He wants solid proof that what he's doing is practical and what he's building is something of enduring worth. He aims for tangible results in return for his efforts.
He appreciates things he can touch ... and count. Like money, real estate, corporate empires, etc. He's methodical, grounded, sensible, disciplined. He is very much a creature of the physical world. He believes in being realistic, economical, acquisitive, and trading in commodities of discernible value.
As a Cardinal sign, he takes action -- especially when it comes to achieving status or building his reputation. He makes things happen. He's competitive, constructive, and forceful. He knows how to advance his objectives and his vision with implacable resolve.

What Capricorn achieves will have his "fingerprints" all over it ... as undeniable testament to its origin ... and to nourish his formidable ego, all at the same time. He wants to achieve great things ... and he wants them to last. When faced with a crisis ... or a problem ... he changes his environment as his way of meeting the challenge.
He is always looking for opportunity ... and always ready to move on it when he sees it. He wants to make himself impressive in the world. He is willing to venture into new territory, take conservative and carefully calculated risks.
As arguably the most patient of the Cardinal signs, he still doesn't suffer fools gladly. He has stringent standards in everything from the arrangement of his physical surroundings to the ethics he applies to his business dealings ... and he most definitely expects others to respect them.

And what's important to him
Capricorn is the Captain of Industry ... the CEO, financier, business mogul, Corporate President, and Industrial entrepreneur who knows how to build commercial empires that will live long and prosper as enduring testament to his merit, effort, and vision.
Capricorn takes action based on:
- Professional considerations -- concerns for image, reputation, fame, community standing
- Career advancement -- the desire for prestige, honor, achievement, lasting respect, public status
- The ability to "make his mark" in a lasting, important, and permanent way -- to leave a legacy of worth and value to the society that supported him ... and vice versa
- "Empire building" ... tactics that add to his power base and public stature
Earth signs are concerned with issues of practical achievement, the use of financial and material resources, the things needed to sustain physical life.
If you've always known there was more to Astrology than Sun Sign material and the three line daily horoscope in the newspaper, climb aboard and follow this blog. You'll find a world of wisdom detailing how you were designed to work with life ... and why you are the way you are -- all in quick-to-read, easy-to-digest-and-remember, written-in-plain-English essays that offer plenty of food for thought.
Little by little, I'm doing a set of articles that talks about all the elements in your horoscope and what they have to say about you. If you "know something" about Astrology -- or know something about your chart placements, that will help you get more from this material.
If you don't ... well, this is one place you can learn. We all have to start somewhere ... because we aren't born knowing this stuff. Meanwhile, if you've never seen your horoscope ... and don't have a clue how to work with it, maybe it's time to find out. There are lots of "chart services" on the internet -- some of whom produce decent, readable charts "for free" and some are so awful and confusing that even I can't read them easily -- and I've worked with charts for decades.
One extremely user-friendly chart site is here: AstroLabe I recommend them if you want a simple, easy-to-read chart. I think they even give a reasonable little interpretive reading of your horoscope as part of the package. You'll need to know your birth information -- day, month, year, time and geographical place. Without all that your chart will have limited accuracy.
Or, if you want to get serious and really talk about this, upvote this post and start a conversation in the comments section sometime in the next six days from the time of publication. We'll go from there depending on what you want to know.
Questions about any of this? -- Upvote this post and talk to me in comments. It's a terrific way to build value for yourself and the community ... and it will give me ideas of what to write about in future posts. Believe me there is lots to say about the way The Sun, The Moon -- and all the other elements in a horoscope, all the other components of Astrology -- work together to interpret you and your story -- and what it all means to the person you've become.
Although sometimes the background pictures in our visual essays support the topic and text, they don't always. Sometimes the connection is clear. Sometimes it's symbolic and subtle. Sometimes, there's no connection at all.
The scenes depict landscapes and natural features, buildings and wildlife. They were chosen because they show something lovely or interesting ... or simply because the photo appealed to me.
Our spectacular and remarkable planet is changing at astonishing speed. Rarely are these changes for the better. Few people seem to know ... or care ... or have the will and power to do anything about this. It may not be long before the world humans have known and lived in for centuries is forever lost. We certainly won't be able to make repairs as fast as we destroyed it.
So a few years ago I began collecting pictures of the way things were ... and still are for now, a record of the beauty we have while it is still ours to love and honor.
The photos here are part of that collection, with sincere thanks to the artists who saw these moments ... and with their cameras ... preserved them. All of us at Enchanted Spirit are profoundly grateful to them for their generosity and skill ... and for the added grace, depth and dimension their art brings to ours.

You keep asking why I never comment on your posts. It's simple; you never talk about me. Wait until you get to Leo, you won't be able to shut me up.
Trust me, I'm a doctor.
ps: I love you.
I can't get you to shut up now. I may hide when Leo rolls around this summer.
Cool, it's interesting to hear more practical details about other signs - being a Leo with Cancer rising I tend to pay attention to those signs more than the others, lol.
It sounds like I'd mostly get along with Capricorns though my ego would probably end up getting in the way eventually. haha
I could do a whole post on why you'd likely get along with Capricorns just from what you've written about yourself here. BUT ... maybe it would be interesting to know what sign your real husband is ... and some of the things in his chart (if you know them) ... like his Rising Sign, too. (Or ... if you can tell me his birth data ... day, month, year, TIME and PLACE ... I can do the chart for myself.) Just a thought.
(I have tried twice to upvote your comment, but Steemit won't let me. I'll try again in a little while.)
That would be interesting - I've never actually gotten him a chart done before, though I did do one for my daughter because obviously I know all of her birth info down to the coordinates, LOL! Now, actually reading it is a different story :#
I'll bug you in Discord to take you up on that offer :D
(all good!)
I'm an earthly virgo and am actually a big fan of the capricorn energy. It feels good to build things and have a consistent energy behind it. I assume my obsession with the mundane world does help with this consistent approach. Nonetheless, it's great motivation when you have long term goals to achieve!
Great post @enchantedspirit! I'd love to hear your thoughts about my recent post: How To Fuel Flirtation And Ignite Irresistible Interactions
Saturn (which rules Capricorn) and Capricorn itself get dissed a lot -- because they are always so sober and conservative, hard-working and responsible. These are qualities we say we value, but lots of people go out of their way to avoid practicing them much. And when they do, there can be a whole lot of griping going on.
So sorry to be late in answering you. My life has been crazy-busy recently -- and may not get much better any time soon. But I did read this. I did so appreciate it ... and I see that you've stopped by several times since, leaving comments. I'll catch up to you -- and make up for lost time. Count on it. Have a terrific rest of the week!!
Wow! That's one of the best readings I have ever seen, and as you know I'm a Leo ... and you know how much we just want to hear about us ... Leo's ... and more stuffs about Leo's. LOL!
I love that you used great photos, and talked about all the aspects of the planets in your readings, along with the prospects of things you would like to hear from us about your readings. I typically get annoyed with those that just want to stick to their reading. I have had my chart done, but I cannot for the life of me understand any of it. Also, with the lines moving all over the place with the planets shifting. I would like to learn more about my grids and lines that are good areas for me to thrive in. I forgot the exact astrological name for those lines. Thank you for this post and for sharing your knowledge with us! xx
PS. The Chinese Astrology says I'm a Metal Rooster. Go figure!
Chinese Astrology says I'm a Fire Pig. You are not allowed to make any smart remarks about that. Remember, I have power.
(Upvote only. I don't dare comment.)
Trust me, I'm a doctor.
How did i miss this wonderful comment?🤣🤣🦅☝🏽
Love your graphics. Love your sense of humor. Thank you kindly for the compliments. Let's talk sometime ... and take your many questions one at a time. Because the answers won't just be one or two sentences long. Since you're a Leo, we'll be talking about your favorite subject in all the world ... you!! That has got to be an offer you can't refuse! Have a terrific rest of the week!! (Late answers still count. Just letting you know!)
Lol! I’m just playin ... not really ... totally kidding ... not really. 😛
Yes we should talk sometime! Not sure how since the world needs three of you, tho we all couldn’t handle three of you ...

Have a great week too, and Em yeah em errr on Late. 😁
My little sister is a Capricorn, and I very much appreciate some of this insight. I, an Aries myself, can totally see the relation and differences better. Thank you for the perspective.
You're very welcome. Come back to see me. I'm an Aries, too. We may have more to talk about that you realize. Have a great week!!
We sure do :), you too.

I have a dear friend who is a Capricorn but he has a Gemini Rising and some fire in his chart as well. He suffers from a lot of frustration because deep down he identifies with so much you mentioned, but has similar issues to myself (Gemini) with starting and finishing things, concentrating, etc. Is there anything a Cappy can do to find that fulfillment or success, that is troubled with such a rising?
