Belgian Jupiler League Week 4 Saturday Previews
Anderlecht won against Moeskroen with a 2-0 score yesterday and I managed to get a small bet in on them Live at a -1.5 @ 1.95 around minute 16'. The odds flatlined for a long time after that just before the 1-0 was scored and I kept a low profile live betting wise afterwards.
Lokeren vs Standard
Lokeren right now look really poor and some friends of mine who have a season ticket to their matches are really worried and say this might be the year they coule actually end up around the bottom of the league this season. Standard put up a really bad performance during the midweek against Ajax who kicked them out of the Champions League. They have enough quality players though to easily make it into Play-off 1 this season but it might take some time for them to get in the flow. I had a look back to see if teams that get kicked out of the champions League with a big score at this stage bounce back in the next league match (poor performances against better teams getting followed by a good performance aganst a weaker team would make sense). From the limite amount of matches I tracked it actually looks more like the opposite with 4W-6L so I will certainly take that into account for this match. Lokeren so far seemed similar in their patterns compared to last season and play a bit better when being behind and I anticipate them again having a hard time to actually hold up when they get ahead. My plan Live is to try and catch a better line on the visitors (-0.25 @1.8+) or bet them if they fall behind somehow. Teams that played a mid-week match often underperform in the first half of the next match. The ref in this match is Verboomen who gave a couple of extremely light penaties in the first week.
Cercle Brugge vs Zulte-Waregem
Both have good teams and the main question for me in this match is what the approach of Cercle Brugge will be. Their coach said they were going to play mostly to take points away or against good teams at home and fully go for the win with a more forward approach at home against teams they can beat. Zulte-Waregem is a team somewhat inbetween. Better than the average team while they can not be seen as a top side. A lot will depend on the start of the match and the intention of the home team. I will be keeping a close watch on the live over also because Zulte-Waregem have a lot of good froward options (harbauoi, sylla, Bedua) and coach dury does not plan on keeping them on the bench. As always with matches of Zulte-Waregem I will be looking for late goals in case they need one since they are not shy of taking huge risks when needed. As far as the side goes, I think the line is set pretty sharp and I don't have any preference. What happens during the match will be key so i'm waiting live to take potential bets.
Waasland vs Sint-Truiden
Both teams are in the low mid table, these teams t this stage tend to be more worried about not slipping back compared to looking up to places where they don't belong based on how they have played so far. The main bet I like is the under. The league so far has produced a and average of around 3 goals each match and the over/under lines have all been set quite high. Stvv is one of the teams that has a solid defense, they now also have their striker Buya who might make a difference in the offense but it remains to be seen. Waasland fell short against AA Gent but were abto hold them off for a long time and the high scoreline was mostly because of 4 late goals after minute 77. The bets I am on are Under 2.75 @ 1.91 and 1st half Under 1 @ 2.16
Kortrijk vs Oostende
Kortrijk has not been ready for the start of the season but are likely to turn things around at some point and I will be lookig out for that moment. Oostende have also disappointed so far. Both are in a position where not losing should have priority over going 100% for the win. They have not been free scoring teams and often the odds get adjusted wrongly far much based on the goals they got against against better teams instead of the goals they actually managed to score. My bet is on the Under 3 @ 1.862 in this match and a tiny bit on 1st Half under 1 @ 2.33. If Kortrijk show that they are still in the same state of not being ready I will gladly oppose them live.
