Day 3
The other day, my washing machine decided it was time for me to clean the garage floor. It is a very nice floor and looks much better when nice and shiny and clean. Still, I prefer to clean it on my own time - not when the washer decides that a little flood sounds like fun.
After cleaning the floor and pulling the soaking wet towels out of the machine, I set to work to drain the rest of the water and to clean the filter.
No wonder there was a flood. Dog hair everywhere!!! A nice, tight layer preventing any water to come through. Did I mention that I was washing the towels the dogs are sleeping on and their little beds?
Mind you, I had shaken them all out and thought I had gotten rid of all the hair. I thought wrong.
Deep down, I am wondering if they are really dogs or if they are hair shedding machines. It sure seems like that since I have to vacuum all the time.
Little did we know what we got ourselves into when we rescued the two from a neighbor. But... I am sitting here, listening to one hunting in her sleep and the other snoring loudly and
I feel grateful to have those little fur shedding goofballs in my life. One barks every morning just for the pure joy of being alive. The other stretches leisurely before starting her day.
I am grateful for their lesson of the importance of taking care of our bodies - cats and dogs are the best Yoga teachers. And we all need to bark for joy every day - okay, laugh out loud. They remind me of that all the time!!

Dogs are great, love them! Maybe you need to get them a doggy hair brush. They love it, feels like a massage to them ; )
I usually need at least 3 coffees in the morning before I'm not miserable, so thanks for the cheerful loving post! (is morning where I am).

I did my first day, but I couldnt use tag "7daypositivitychallenge" as I got error message saying "Must start with a letter"
Weird because I saw yourself and @conradt were able to use it as a tag... Used daypositivitychallenge in the end as sevendaypositivitychallenge was too long...
Yes, it too me forever to figure that out. You have to put the # in front of it. It doesn't show after it publishes, but it lets you do it.

Oh my! I've had those washing machine malfunctions and the clean up is huge! I hope you got a good rest! Yes, fur babies can create kid like messes, but, oh the joy! How wonderful that you rescued them both!
When our neighbor moved in, he had 5 or 6 dogs. I am pretty sure he killed one of the Pomeranians and he handed the other over to me. She was so afraid of the kitchen (that is where he "disciplined" the dogs) and still is scared of all strangers. But otherwise, she is doing fine. The other one, he dropped off one day 2 month after he had moved. We hadn't planned on 2 dogs (really, not on any dog) and I tried to find a good home for her - but after a while, she was ours....
I'm glad they found you. So sad when people mistreat animals.
