Good day, Steemians!

In the end, only three things matter: how much you loved, how gently you lived, and how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you. ~ attributed to the Buddha

Love, let it go.
Love, let it go.
Love, let it go.

Do yoga if and when it hurts.

Repeat until the end of time.

So far this is working pretty well...

Does anyone know why youtube makes the thumbnail all pixelated and shit?

you are most probably using the wrong dimensions ?
can be a little tricky as they use like 4 different sets depending what screen.
For thumbnails its 1280x720 with a max of 640 Pixels

This link Youtube Thumbnail Template

Very important also is that shrinking any picture will make it become pixelated.
So the image that you find on the web somewhere needs to be the same dimentions as the
thumbnail dimentions itself. Or the program you use to edit or if via youtube will shrink the
picture to fit the specs of the thumbnail again making it pixelated.

The moment you match the image size with the thumbnail size you should get
an high quality thumbnail.

https://ipiccy.com is generally what i used and liked the most.
TIP: After loading the picture click and hold and just wiggle with it.
sometimes it can become slightly pixelated if you go into edit mode
and by just grabbing and moving the picture it restores its HD values.

I hoped it helped you created you next thumbnail to be amazing ;)

Hey Sara!! Awesome flow! :)
Looks like a great place to practice yoga.

When you upload to YouTube it should give you an option to upload a thumbnail. I sometime take a screen shot from my video then use Photoshop or gimp 2, then make a new project(800x480px) and upload the photo that I screenshot. Then Ill adjust it to fit how I want.

Or you can use DTUBE.
Honestly, I think you should use Dtube. You will maximize exposure because since there isn't that many people on Dtube yet you will rank in the "hot" and "trending" section every time.

I wouldn't use DTube to be honest. The moment you post your video on DTube it directly posts a blog on to your wall. Also it takes a 25% cut from the income your blog generates and the DTube team never stated that their intentions is to make the platform better with all that money.

You can better upload to youtube a and link the video to the blog post as you keep 100% of your revenue, incl that of youtube itself.

and for exposure youtube is still the better place is DTube now only gets used to store videos for posting on Steemit. not anyone really goes to DTube just like as they would do it on youtube.

but explain to me how is it that you hit the hot and trending section every time with DTube ?
because DTube is not integrated into SteemIt and those sections you normally get it if you get upvoted by those with more influence.

WHAT??? are you serious they take 25% of all the steemit revenue from the post just for posting there??? Where did you find that out?

They gonna fail.

I have recently created the @dtube account. This account will be used to collect 25% of the DTube author rewards. 10% of these fees will be used to pay for long-term storage of the files on IPFS Store. The rate is $0.044 per GB per month. So, for example, let's say you upload a 100MB video, that earns $10 rewards, then $0.25 will go to @nannal and ensure data redundancy for ~57 months. Once this time is passed, users will need to either pay themselves (crypto accepted of course) to keep the files being seeded, or seed it themselves directly on their own PC and connection. ~ @heimindanger from https://steemit.com/video/@heimindanger/introducing-dtube-a-decentralized-video-platform-using-steem-and-ipfs

Thanks for bringing that to my awareness, @gyzimo - I did not realize this.

its a cool concept but will not get to much adoption with the fees me thinks. We shall see!

Hi @acromott! Thanks for replying. I really appreciate the DTUBE suggestion and I'm definitely going to check it out!!

Thanks, @gyzimo, I appreciate your response and will take that into consideration for using a custom image. I didn't upload a thumbnail for this video and instead chose one of the 3 options from the video that youtube provides.

ohh haha no thats cool. i was just letting you know that
youtube thumbails dimension is 1280x720 with a max of 640 Pixels.
so the closer you get your video and picture to that resolution
you get more the HD into it ;)

Thanks for the heads up!

@saramiller The trees are flowing and doing yoga with you! Much love :D Namaste

@progressivechef

Always a pleasure to have you stop by, @progressivechef! A lovely day to you as well!

Its great to hear that you can find your way in Yoga and its exercise of it.
I myself have thought about doing Yoga to get some rest into my body but yet still have to make a start on it hehe.
Right now i am doing 20 min of meditation every day when standing up and just after shower and going to bed and it is just wonderful the calmness in your body. Makes for a good deep sleep :)

So keep it up even if it indeed does a little pain thats healthy but to much pain is a sign that your body doesn't like to be in that position so taking it slowly ain't a bad thing on some moves. Even meditation is hard to do and its only really sitting on a pillow and get your mind completely empty. Yet so hard to do haha. But long repetitive practice does most of the tricks.

I got one little tip for you on your video. I as many others would like to start Yogo but alone not in a group and having videos like these are a wonderful tribute to teach yourself at home.

If you would slow the time laps a bit videos like this could also be used for self teaching educational purposes. Its always great to have a whole varieties of videos to learn from.

Anyhow by only slowing the video down to a point it can become educational it will drive the value up of the video, getting watched more ( maby even multiple times ) if people use it to learn. Maby it help building your following who know right.

Anyhow i wish you a lot of fun on your spiritual journey,
may you keep enjoying you hobby for a long long time..
painless that is hehe.

Keep it up :)
Namaste

Thanks for your input, @gyzimo! I will take your suggestion into consideration.

I too am a big fan of meditation. I did a 10 day retreat that was one of the most painful experiences of my entire life, even though it's just sitting! The body stores a lot of mental and emotional tension as well, and meditation is an excellent practice for tapping into and releasing that stuff.

<3

Welcome at any time @saramiller ":)

And yes i have not yet done it myself doing a retreat but it would definitely be a great experience.
Studies also have shown that those who meditate visit the doctor far less then people that don't.
Scientists are still not 100% why that is but it does indeed do something with you.

But we get overloaded all the time with so many things that even the smallest thing can feel like
the heaviest load to carry. Being able to actually clear that gray mass for once and have just absolutely no thought at all is just amazing.

And specially the 20 min is very relaxing as the body natrual tries to fall asleep with your eyes close in around 15 min. So the last 5 min are most of then the fun part were, you completely unfocus because there is nothing anymore in your head to focus on. Thats also the part that like keeps you in that easy and relaxed mood / mode for like an hour or 2 after the meditation as the body once again slowly awakes.

I my self have some good portion of hyperactivity and meditation is for me a solution to find some rest in that head of mine and i love it :)

My favorite would be lucid dreaming but its very hard. I had once that i became conscious but for a lot of first timers you can get scared and basically awake in a nightmare if your lucky..
After that didn't got it again what is a true shame :(

But definitely keep doing Yoga and if you have the time meditation
it does indeed help a lot with stress and its good for the body to.

nice video
yoga is my favorite he make me feel good

Me too! Yoga makes everything better <3

awww love this video! Thanks for another awesome yoga practice video!

You're welcome, @karensuestudios! Thanks for your support <3

No problem! We will have to practice yoga together someday! :)

Oh. Yes. We will do the yoga ad we will have the fun!!!!!!!

And how is your new day ? Here is very rainy again :)

This new day is also gray and a little rainy. I would love to have more rain for the garden!

Soon you have it :) and a lot :))

Hi Sara! I enjoy your flow videos. Have you considered doing instructional videos? I currently practice yoga following along with Yoga with Adriene, but would love it if there was an option on Steemit instead. (Especially if you were to post your videos on dtube.video!) I mentioned you in an article I posted on the benefits of yoga and asked people to encourage you to do instructional videos as well :D Keep it up!

Thank you so much for the encouragement, @foundation! I do consider doing longer videos, but I wonder how they would be received. I'm very happy to share everything I know about yoga, but at the same time it can get a bit boring for someone to ramble on about it.

I have been hearing more and more about dtube so I will definitely be checking that out! Thanks again!

I think if you make a longer video where you're walking the viewers through the steps as you go it wouldn't be boring because we'd be following along with you! You could even do some beginners courses where you go more in depth about the posturing/focus of each pose for people to start out with. Then your other videos could have more flow to them as intermediates/experts can more easily follow along without needing much guidance.. Excited to see what you put out!

I'm looking forward to playing around with the format! My goal in sharing yoga on Steemit is to inspire as many people as possible to try it and enjoy the results for themselves, so I'm happy to do what I can to introduce more people to yoga!

You do not want to face the wrath of my bunghole!!
