RE: Yoga 2.0 - Flow Video

in #yoga7 years ago

Its great to hear that you can find your way in Yoga and its exercise of it.
I myself have thought about doing Yoga to get some rest into my body but yet still have to make a start on it hehe.
Right now i am doing 20 min of meditation every day when standing up and just after shower and going to bed and it is just wonderful the calmness in your body. Makes for a good deep sleep :)

So keep it up even if it indeed does a little pain thats healthy but to much pain is a sign that your body doesn't like to be in that position so taking it slowly ain't a bad thing on some moves. Even meditation is hard to do and its only really sitting on a pillow and get your mind completely empty. Yet so hard to do haha. But long repetitive practice does most of the tricks.

I got one little tip for you on your video. I as many others would like to start Yogo but alone not in a group and having videos like these are a wonderful tribute to teach yourself at home.

If you would slow the time laps a bit videos like this could also be used for self teaching educational purposes. Its always great to have a whole varieties of videos to learn from.

Anyhow by only slowing the video down to a point it can become educational it will drive the value up of the video, getting watched more ( maby even multiple times ) if people use it to learn. Maby it help building your following who know right.

Anyhow i wish you a lot of fun on your spiritual journey,
may you keep enjoying you hobby for a long long time..
painless that is hehe.

Keep it up :)

Thanks for your input, @gyzimo! I will take your suggestion into consideration.

I too am a big fan of meditation. I did a 10 day retreat that was one of the most painful experiences of my entire life, even though it's just sitting! The body stores a lot of mental and emotional tension as well, and meditation is an excellent practice for tapping into and releasing that stuff.

Welcome at any time @saramiller ":)

And yes i have not yet done it myself doing a retreat but it would definitely be a great experience.
Studies also have shown that those who meditate visit the doctor far less then people that don't.
Scientists are still not 100% why that is but it does indeed do something with you.

But we get overloaded all the time with so many things that even the smallest thing can feel like
the heaviest load to carry. Being able to actually clear that gray mass for once and have just absolutely no thought at all is just amazing.

And specially the 20 min is very relaxing as the body natrual tries to fall asleep with your eyes close in around 15 min. So the last 5 min are most of then the fun part were, you completely unfocus because there is nothing anymore in your head to focus on. Thats also the part that like keeps you in that easy and relaxed mood / mode for like an hour or 2 after the meditation as the body once again slowly awakes.

I my self have some good portion of hyperactivity and meditation is for me a solution to find some rest in that head of mine and i love it :)

My favorite would be lucid dreaming but its very hard. I had once that i became conscious but for a lot of first timers you can get scared and basically awake in a nightmare if your lucky..
After that didn't got it again what is a true shame :(

But definitely keep doing Yoga and if you have the time meditation
it does indeed help a lot with stress and its good for the body to.
