Introduction Sim Gif

I played my Sim legacy challenge this weekend. When I returned to the Steemit roommates, it was Wednesday, and Sally was dressed in a formal attire. I’m not sure where she went, but she looked very pretty in her pink dress. Sally and Stanley both needed to get to bed. Sharyn’s energy meter was full, so I sent her to the computer to write her column.

Bed

In the morning, Sally got up early to cook some eggs for the household. The Steemit roommates have been using the furniture that came with the apartment. The beds that Sally, and Sharyn have been sleeping in, are children’s beds. And they are not very comfortable. The negative, red buffs that the Sims get will affect their mood. In this case, Sharyn has a sore back from the cheap bed. This buff will last for three hours.

This can be remedied by buying new beds. That would be nice, except I want to get these Sims into a better apartment, therefore they need to save their funds. Cheap furniture, and appliances will give your Sims negative buffs. If the refrigerator is cheap, their food will taste funny. If they have a cheap shower, they will complain about the water being cold. You can buy them more expensive items to keep them comfortable.

Relationships

The Steemit roommates have been working on building their relationships. They clearly need to spend more time together. When you select the people icon, it will open the relationships of the Sim. Above the Sim’s profiles, there is another menu in which you can separate the relationships. The house icon will open the Sims in the household. You can mouse over the Sims’ profile and it will display all the information about that Sim that is known.

The green meter under each Sim, shows the strength of the relationship. The higher the meter, the stronger the relationship. The friendly, and positive social interactions the Sims have with each other, will increase the meter, and they will become closer friends. The closer their relationships become, the more options of friendly interaction that will open for the Sims.

Stanley

Stanley got the focused, ideal mood for work by playing video games. He will still need to develop his programming skills to get the next promotion. His performance at work is average. He got his daily task done today, so this will help boost his work performance.

Scooped

Sally was scooped by another writer at work. She had the choice of letting it go or scooping them back. I think she should scoop them back. It might not have been such a good idea, as the co-worker vows to scoop all Sally’s articles now.

Wing It

Meanwhile, a fascinating Wiki page distracted Sharyn while researching a new story. When her boss calls her in, she has the choice to admit that she was distracted, or wing it, and pretend she did the research. I don’t think that winging it is a good idea, so I suggest that Sharyn admit the truth. This did not help Sharyn’s work performance, but her boss thanked her for her honesty, after they wrote her up. Sigh.

Notifications

Any time your Sim has a career option like those of Sally and Sharyn, the result will show up in your notifications. You can open the notifications to see previous, recent results, and achievements of your Sim. You can open and close the notifications by selecting the notepad icon on the top right-hand corner of the screen.

Promotion

In the afternoon, Sally was promoted to clickbait writer. This is level 3 of the Social media career. Sally can now respond to mail, and share images. This promotion also gave Sally a bonus, and an increase in pay. Now she will need to work on her comedy skill to reach higher levels of the career track. Sally can build her comedy skill by watching comedy on the television, or telling jokes at a microphone.

Repairs

When there are three Sims using one toilet, it is bound to need repaired sooner than later. Any time a Sim repairs items around the home, they will acquire the handiness skill. The toilet is broken, so I have asked Sharyn to repair it while Sally is cooking food. You will have the options of hiring a repair service, or replacing the toilet. You can also open the build mode, to buy a more dependable toilet.

Meters

While your Sim is repairing items, they will have a meter above their head. This meter indicates the level of Sharyn’s handiness skill. The toilet icon to the left of Sharyn’s picture, shows how long it will take to repair the toilet. She is almost finished. Once the toilet is repaired, the roommates should be able to use it for a while before it needs repaired again.

Mess

After the toilet has been repaired, someone needs to clean up the mess. Sims will get a negative buff if they have unpleasant surroundings. You can clean up the water on the floor by selecting mop up, and you can select cleanup for the pile left on the floor, or you scavenge for parts. Any parts your Sim finds, will be placed in the Sim’s personal inventory, and can be used to upgrade appliances in the home.

I hope you have learned a little more about how to increase your Sim’s relationships, and how to repair items around their home. Sims spend most of their time meeting their basic needs, and socializing. Therefore, it is important that they repair items around the house, they need to meet their basic needs, and to spend time socially interacting with other people.

Until next time,

Happy Gaming- Sim Girl
