Last week on "Awkward moments", we saw how SBD/Steem fought back in the Crypto Rumble and since then it has been holding the fort. On today's episode, the 12th episode in the series i'll be sharing the tale of a girl who lived a uniquely different life. "A GIRL APART"

Some people are easily influenced by their peers, especially in the adolescent stage. It is bad for girls because this is the period some of them are been brain-washed and ushered into prostitution, most sex workers were dragged into this quagmire by friends and peer-pressure to live in affluence, be a big girl as they are often referred to no matter the cost as the would do anything miserable to attain this status!

Courtney is a freshmen in college, thousands and cities away from home. So she rarely go home to see her parents except on some occasions longer breaks and maybe end of session. A fine young lady from a decent home, the Dad a pastor and her Mom a teacher. For this reasons, she had grew up with excellent upbringing and with no extra luxuries except her and her younger siblings basic needs which made her start part-time work right from High-School to have some savings for college.

As a college freshman, she also works part-time in a cafeteria with her works in shifts. Tall and fairly pretty, an athletic body even though doesn't do sports much and had little friends except her course mates. She doesn't go out much aside from Work and Classes and some site seeing in the city once she gets her off work day mid-week. Not a party goer nor has she attended any campus concerts alone or with anyone even though there had been dozens of admirers and some pot-heads looking for a decent girl to devour.

From here discreet and decent behavior she had caught a lot of eyes at the Cafe where she works.
Since she started work customers had doubled; mainly boys and men who always wants to stop by and have a chat with her over the counter. Courtney had attracted several of the folks around, even the Sheriff had on several occasions invited her to the parties organised by his grown daughters which Courtney always declined gently and in a respected manner as always. The Cafe manager also wants his son to be friends with her employee which didn't work.

On a winter night, Courtney was working double shifts to cover for her utility bills at her apartment, she was on her way home that late night after closing from work with almost freezing temperature which had make the streets quiet out very early only the chipping sounds of Rats could be heard in the Alley. So she decided to take the free way where the flashes of cars passing would assure her she is somewhat safe.

Just a few minutes of walking had passed, a purple SUV filled with girls from her classes pulled over by beside her, the driver window had rolled down half way before she looked to see who was smiling at her. It was one of the girls from a practical lab smoking as she bellowed "You need a ride shortie?"

She smiled back and joyfully opened the back seat doors to hurriedly escape from the freezing Wind, as he got in the back seat with about four other girls cramped there and all smiling and reeking with booze. Plus the Driver and two other girls in the front seat makes seven of girls in total. Courtney was not bothered has she had literally met all the girls all at once or separately at one point or the other on campus. The only concerned she had was the speed of the car, very scary but comfortable inside rather than the outside cold.

Luck ran out on them as the siren of a police car blasted after them to stop, the driving girl slowed down after some miles and parked. She alighted as instructed by the Police officer took a few steps towards the cop and threw up all over the police officer newly polished shiny shoes. With that she was given a quick DUI test and it reeks of high level intoxication. In the process one of the girls in the back seat had come down, pulled off her jeans and peed on the road but in the process a few sachet of crystals of "Meths" flew out of her jeans which made all of the occupant of the car a suspect to drug abuse or trafficking.

The whole girls were arrested and taken to the Police station, by then Courtney was soaked in tears before getting to the Station. "Who would ever believe she was innocent?"

But someone would, the Sheriff; the customer as Courtney's Cafe was passing by when he saw Courtney in the midst of some drunk girls, he pulled her aside as they were been processed to be locked up in detention. From the look and tears on her face, the Sheriff took her to his office asked her what went wrong and upon hearing he side of the story gave her some tissue paper and walked her out of the office.

From her story and her reputation of being decent on and off the campus, she had been saved from criminal records on drugs. The sheriff took her to his duty car and drove her home leaving the six other girls in detention.
