Cont. from Page One#2 – You politely introduce yourself and accept the graciousness of Astra 

A friend in need

You accept the heart felt greeting of Astra.  

Seeing your unease she directs you thoughtfully towards a nearby boulder to sit and rest.     

The rock is cold and hard, but you welcome the chance to sit and regain your strength. “You must be confused about where you are and how you got here?” says  Astra, motioning to your surroundings with expressive and hypnotic hand  gestures.   

“Well this place of ruins around you, was once a great city in this  land of magic we call the realm of light” says Astra in a soft voice  Mesmerised, you sit and listen a moment.  

Astra tells you about the realm of light and describes its  inhabitants of magical beings in past tense. She explains that they all  once happily living here under the rule of her kind and powerful master,  someone she simply refers to as the sorceress. She tells you of a great  war, led by an evil and radical wizard, a war eventually leading to  great destruction and the end of the sorceress’s successful rule.  You wonder if Astra will ever stop talking, but you simply sit and listen on.   

Astra finishes her story, telling you that the evil wizard, upon  defeating the sorceress, seals her power into a magical pendant.  Finishing his evil deed, he also entraps her in a magical prison, before  going on to roam the land unchecked, causing destruction, death and  pain.   

You sit shocked and wonder where the story is going and why you are so enchanted by Astra's words “Now, you must wonder where you come in and how you came to be here”  Astra says now staring at you, eyes bright and filled with hope.   

 “Well… I managed just enough magic, to cast a spell to seek out  someone special from a different dimension and bring them here. Yes,  that someone is you!....You see, only a non-magical creature from  another dimension like yourself has any chance to sneak undetected by  the evil wizard and steal the pendant back, so I really need your help.”    

 Astra’s posture suddenly changes, she seems nervous and begins looking about as if being watched.   “Something is not right and I must leave, quickly before I go, please  take this” says Astra extending her now shaking hand towards you,  holding out the gift of a tarnished ring.   

 You stand up from your stony chair and take the ring, you attempt to slip it on a finger and find it’s a perfect fit.  “You will find your way somehow, I just know it! And when you do find  the pendant, grab it, tap this ring twice and I will materialise to  take it from there.” explains Astra in a now rushed and somewhat  panicked voice.  

With this Astra nervously looks about, turns and walks a few steps backwards before vanishing before your eyes. 

Within moments you are startled to hear a loud pitched screech from overhead.  Staring up into the coloured sky above you spot a fabulous winged  creature flying towards you.   

The winged creature seems to see you and  falls into a dive in your direction, it looks massive and very mean.  

It’s time to make a decision again and this time quickly!
