1st 10-Days' Report about Social Media - Growth and Engagement for Actifit App

Hello everyone!

It has already been 10 days since the pre - arranged daily posting in social media channels for @actifit has commenced.

As explained thoroughly in my previous post, being a member and a moderator for Actifit App, together with the Founder and the Marketing Team we decided to start expanding the awareness about the open source fitness dApp, to the traditional social media channels.

The project owners of the open source apps, especially when they mainly address users from a specific blockchain (such as actifit for steem users), need to find ways for:

🏀 Increasing the reputation of the app.
🏀Making the app more user-friendly, giving its users the ability to contact the administrators / support team through a convenient means of communication (such as Facebook messenger, tweets, Instagram direct messaging etc).
🏀 Improving the app's reputation to potential users in the steem blockchain, who use other social media channels .
🏀 Improving the apps' reputation to potential new steem users, who now have an extra reason to sign up and use the blockchain via the app.
🏀 Motivating the current users to continue using the app.
🏀 Challenging users to start using the app.
🏀Informing the users about news, updates and also relevant information. (such as fitness & health updates in this case)

Goals

At the moment, as this is only the beginning of this effort, the goals are not specific.

Due to the fact that for now, paid promotions are not utilized, we need to see in what ways and how much the engagement will be increased.

We also wish to examine what the users will react to, what will be more interesting, engaging to them. In the future when the audience will be wider, we plan to use poll options both for fun and also for understanding better the needs and interests of our user base.

At the moment, our short term goals are:

️⚽ Increasing the social media followers
️⚽ Increasing the engagement
️⚽ Notice the audience's behavior to the different types of posts shared (news, motivational, informational content)
️⚽ Offer support and information to potential users who are interested in the app and have questions
️⚽ Explore the potential and understand the best way to use these platforms efficiently, as means to achieve our goals.

Remarks

When the numbers are small, it is not safe to jump to conclusions, however metrics can help you identify your strenghts and can show you the direction.

All the platforms have an increased the number of users and engagement. Instagram is a platform that can grow relatively easily, if the content is appealing and the right graphics, hashtags are used.

We did receive a few messages, but none of them were from our current users (except one in twitter)

However we did notice an increased engagement, and we are curious to see how the next days will be! Along with the scheduled daily posts, we have shared ocassionally other updates (such as the witness survey and some other important news) as well as shared some interesting articles, motivational quotes and fun gifs!

38% increase in followers - from 138 10 days ago, the followers now are 191

When your Instagram is a business profile, after you have more than 100 followers, there are valuable insights available in your account.

For actifit, we have seen that there are 30 profile visits the last 7 day is, and if we visit the Insights section we see that there is also an increase in the Discovery (436 accounts reached from Dec 03 - Dec 09) and also a +297 increase for Reach as well as a +729

8% increase in followers - from 127 10 days ago, the followers now are 137

We see that there is a significant increase in the number of followers, which is an element that helps the increase of the reach.

Twitter

10% increase in followers - from 115 10 days ago, the followers now are 127

If you are using Twitter, make sure you turn on the Twitter Analytics.

As we see, there is a significant number of views to the Actifit Tweets

I preferred to have a 28 days summary, which shows an important increase in profile visits (224 - 105%) and an impressive tweet impressions, 18.9k *95.7% increase.

The numbers are similar if we take the 10 days timeframe, in December there were more than 10 thousand impressions of our tweets.

In this screen shot we see the most popular tweet so far, as well as the tweet that was the most engagement.
