Ulog 14 A: Birthday and Garden Update
Ulog 14 A
You are going to say what the heck is a Ulog # A? And that is an excellent question that deserves and answer.
Since I started Ulogs, I discovered that I really like to do short videos and speak about my day. And I have started to use DLive. It is an application that runs on the blockchain and might some day be a real alternative to YouTube.
I want to support that. But on the Dlive platform, I only get 10 lines of text and can't add extra pictures or - and that is the real important part - my beautiful custom made Ulog footer. That makes me sad.
Also, I do realize that not everyone likes to watch videos. That is how things are. Maybe it is the sound that would disturb others, or maybe it is that some like reading better.
That is how I came up with the Ulog A solution.
I still can do the video and utilize Dlive, but if I feel that I also have a blogpost in me, related to or describing the video in more than 10 lines, I will link the video in that post and call it the A version.

As you can see, the link is pretty ugly and it doesn't show up like a YouTube link with a pretty thumbnail and such.
So, in the future, I will format it like this: Dlive Ulog 14
If you follow the link, it will have my original video, a short text, and a YouTube version of the video in case DLive is not loading.
The Birthday
Originally, my son had asked for firewood for his BBQ and a piece of meat for his birthday. He really likes to BBQ. For those of you who are not familiar with a true BBQ - it takes almost 24 hours to cook a brisket and he is up all night stocking the fire and making sure it stays at the right temperature.
But just that Monday, he had gotten a new job - after 2 years of no regular work. Working hard all day made him tired and he didn't want to be up all night cooking.
My ex-husband decided to have everyone over at his house. We all have managed to consider everyone family - exes, new partners, and and the extended family married children are bringing along.
Hamburgers on a grill were on the menue. Plus lots of condiments and French Fries. Easy and very American.
Everyone was working on getting the meal ready.
The birthday boy was waiting for food to be ready and we decided to take a picture with his dad.
Finally, food is ready!!!
Brother and sister were both hungry!! Me too, but I took the time to take a few pictures.
Here is the little Dude with his mama.
He decided a little while after that it was time to sing Happy Birthday to his Uncle. But to see that, you have to watch the video.

I like the "A" solution that allows you to keep experimenting with DLive, supporting the growth of the new platforms with your participation... plus not forgetting those who would rather read a blog post.
