Traveling with spirit mountains and shrines in Japan

Hello steemians!
I am RYO!

I went to the journey of the shrine with nature!

I went to Japan's famous mountain "Tsukuba mountain"
Mt. Tsukuba was called "Spirit mountain" in the past and was famous as a place of Japanese training

Mt. Tsukuba is famous as a place where Japanese gods live, but there are also many ghosts and UFO sightings talks from there long ago

Anyway, It is a very mystery mountain where both Japanese and foreigners are coming to climb so it is loved by mountaineers

This is a picture taken from Tsukuba mountain side, That day was a very foggy day

This place is a parking lot, From here on up is only for climbers.
Since I am not a climber I went to a shrine near here

It is a very big tree.

As soon spring is blooming a little

I was looking for the entrance to the shrine, but I mistook it from the back door of the shrine😅

Normally, it enters the entrance and arrives at the place of prayer after walking for a while, but since I entered from the back door, the place of prayer was nearby😂

By the way, Wow!
very biggy shrine!!

You should look at the couple in the center of the picture, I think that you can see that the shrine is very big

There is a big bell in the center of the place of prayer

This shrine's name is Tsukuba Shrine,
There are several shrines in Mt. Tsukuba, this shrine is the largest shrine representing Mt. Tsukuba

It is a "Sazare-ishi" in the lyrics of the national anthem of Japan, On the left rock is the lyrics of the national anthem

national anthem of Japan↓

The above picture is a place to wash hands and mouth before praying,
The picture below is a place to drink water

There is a small shrine a little above the mountain

There are a lot of flags,
This flag can be bought

This place is a shrine with God of fox and grain(Oinari-sama)

A stone statue of a small fox is on the left and right

In this shrine, one of the Seven Lucky Gods, Ebisu-sama is enshrined.

To pray to Ebisu-sama can get the luck of prosperous business

I went to the entrance because I entered from the back door😅

This tree is a cedar

The thickness of the tree is 10 meters and the height is over 30 meters

This cedar is the tree of God representing Tsukuba Shrine.

It is thought that God lives in everything in Japan, Gods also live in trees, rivers and Katana

There is such a gate in front of the shrine

There are a interesting exhibits↓

This seems to be an egg made of iron which was exhibited in the science museum…but I do not know what it means for it…🤣

This is shrine entrance

Worshipers enter the shrine from this entrance as usual…😂

Anyway, I enjoyed this wonderful shrine very much!

And I went to eat "Soba" for lunch

It is a noodle made by mixing buckwheat and flour, It is a typical traditional food of Japan.

Next I went to a different shrine from hot springs, but since there are so many pictures I will post again!

Thank you for reading!
Arigatou gozaimashita!

Ahaha, Yeah I mistook the entrance but I enjoyed the journey of the shrine very much😆
Various preparations are necessary to go to the top of Mt. Tsukuba so I visited only the middle point by car😉

Ahhh such a nice and comprehensive post about this mountain. That big tree, it looks so grand, I wonder how old it is... thousand of years? :o

Looking forward to the post about the hot spring place ^^.

Sorry for replying late😅
This tree seems to be about 800 years old, There are many other big trees in this place, but this tree was extraordinary!
Thanks! Thank you for comment!😊
