Welcome to Marrakesh the red city!!!

Dear fellows and friends, inspired by @kpine post, who is looking for ideas and inspiration to travel, in today post I want to take you on a tour to Marrakesh :).

I feel blessed to live in one of the most attractive cities in the world. With 10 million visitors in 2017 Marrakesh in one of the destinations you must at least visit one time in your life, the trick is when you come once you will come back again. it's Marrakesh magic :)

Marrakesh!!! Where this city is located?

Marrakech is a major city of the Kingdom of Morocco, a unitary sovereign state located in the Maghreb region of North Africa. Geographically, Morocco is characterized by a rugged mountainous interior, large tracts of desert and a lengthy coastline along the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea.

Marrakesh was founded in 1062 and was the capital of 4 prestigious empires during the Middle Age, which means that if you love historical sites you will not be disappointed.

• Jemaa el-Fnaa square:
  The Jemaa el-Fnaa is one of the best-known squares in Africa. It has been described as a "world-famous square", a great mixture of the past and the present, It has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage site since 1985.

• Souks:
  Marrakesh has the largest traditional markets in the county.

---

• City walls and gates:
  The ramparts of Marrakesh, which stretch for some 19 kilometers (12 mi) around the medina of the city, were built in the 12th century as protective fortifications. The walls are made of a distinct orange-red, giving the city its nickname as the "red city"; they stand up to 19 feet (5.8 m) high and have 20 gates and 200 towers along them.

• Gardens:
  There is a wide variety of gardens in Marrakesh, the most popular of them called The Menara gardens and are located to the west of the city, at the gates of the Atlas mountains.

• Palaces and Riads:
  The historical wealth of the city is manifested in palaces, mansions and other lavish residences.

• historical Mosques:
  Mosque stems from the Arabic word masjid, meaning "temple" or "place of worship." This building is very important religiously, politically and can be a modest structure or an architectural masterpiece.

• Historical Tombs:
  The Medina holds the tombs of the seven patron saints of Morocco.

---

• Mellah:
  The old Jewish Quarter (Mellah) is situated in the Kasbah area of the city's medina, east of Place des Ferblantiers.

• Museums:
  Dar Si Said Museum, also known as the Museum of Moroccan Arts is located to the north of the Bahia Palace.

---

Epic Food:

Surrounded by lemon, orange, and olive groves, the city's culinary characteristics are rich and heavily spiced but not hot.

Weather:

A hot semi-arid climate predominates at Marrakesh. Average temperatures range from 12 °C (54 °F) in the winter to 32–45 °C (90–113 °F) in the summer. If you live sun you will love been here :)
