Travel Digest #365 (That's one year!!!)

Introduction

Hi everyone it's @livinguktaiwan here today with the weekend edition of the #traveldigest. Apologies for missing yesterday's edition as I am on the road in Japan at the moment and got in a bit too late to curate all the great travel posts from your guys.

Talking of travel posts and the #traveldigest, today's edition is the 365th one, that's one for every day of the year!!! Hooray!!! Those who've been the @steemitworldmap from the early days may remember that we've been around for more than a year, but sometimes we don't manage to get a #traveldigest out every day. However, with your great support we do try to do our best. Anyway, here's to the 365th edition, and we look forward to your continued support for the coming years. Travel Digest

If you looking for some intresting places to eat out in Melbourne, Australia, you should check out @trudeehunter's post. She takes us to a pedestiral precint called Degraves Street in the central business district. There is a Parisian feel about this place and has many types of different cafes and restuarants here, great for catching up with friends. Some of the places that she recommends include a cafe that is one of the longest serving cafe here, another one serves all day breakfast, a soup kitchen with a pay if forward scheme to help the homeless, a burger place that serves kangaroo meat, and my favourite cakes and desserts. Yummy!

The second featured post today is from @priyanarc, she goes to Manali in India for a break. It's located at 2050m up in the Himalayas Mountain area by the Beas River and is a popular tourtist spot in the summer. Paragliding and rock-climbing are famous here as are apples. Being an architect, @priyanarc was particularly interested in the architecture of the buildings here, and she found out a lot about the history of the town from the locals.

@trincowski takes us to a cultural centre in Germany which is full of abandoned rubbish. From the face of it, it looks like a junk yard full of old chairs and tables, containers, crates and boxes, and even broken toilets! However, accompanying all this junk are lots of graffiti which makes this a unique place to wander around, chill out, or catch some artists at work. If you love graffiti, this is definitely the place to come.
