Travel Digest

#1 Travel Norway #18 - Gjevilvatnet - Fantastic lakeside high among the mountains.

First of all let's go to visit a massive lake at the Trollheimen national park in Norway, a lake that is 18km long and would take about two days to hike around. @photovisions has gone pass the turn to the lake many times before but never visited it, so when an opportunity came for a trip, he jumped to it. The day started off wet and rainy but luckily the weather cleared up soon and @photovisions was able to take some great photos to show us how beautiful the lake is.

#2 Travelling with Stabilo #28: Te Puia Maori Cultural Centre 经纬游踪 #28: Te Puia 毛里文化中心

Next up is @stabilowl, he went to visit a Maori cultural centre in New Zealand. The day tour starts off with a visit to the Pohutu Geyser and a mud pool, then to the Kiwi House which houses 3 kiwis. And finally to Maori Arts and Crafts Institute. In the evening tour, he went to see a tradtional Maori culture show followed by a traditional Maori Hangi dinner which is food wrapped up in cloth and then placed in a hole in the ground and cooked using geothermal hot stones. Yummy!

#3 Road Trip - Visiting Rio Grande do Sul - Brazil - Welcome to Santa Cruz do Sul

Finally let's follow @mrprofessor and his mum to road trip around his home town Rio Grande do Sul - the southernmost state in Brazil. Their first stop was to Santa Cruz do Sul in Rio Grande do Sul, a cozy little city on the mountains, followed by the Catedral São João Batista, the biggest goth temple in South America. After that they went to a park that had some ancient caves called Paleoburrow, apprently the Indians used them as a hideaway in the old days.
