#1 Mud village, Misfat Al Abreyeen, Oman
First, @explorernations takes us to a mud village in Misfat Al Abreyeen, Oman. It is one of the country's last remaining mud villages, and even though the local population is in decline, the remaining Omani's seek to preserve their humble lifestyle. Most of the houses have rock bases, then are assembled into different shapes and sizes. A layer of mud is overlain on the rocks and sun-dried for several days until it becomes solid.

Next, @daveonarrival is back in Mexico's fireworks capital, Tultepec. Over Easter, Mexicans like to make depictions of Judas Iscariot—who betrayed Jesus Christ—and then light them on fire. In Tultepec they take it up a notch by turning it into a competition and blowing up the effigies with fireworks. Families and neighbourhoods team up hoping to win first prize in either the traditional, comical/political or alebrijes (fantastical creatures) categories.

Finally, @patschwork continues her Scottish adventure, this time visiting Boleskine House on Loch Ness. Boleskine House was where occultist Aleister Crowley lived from 1899–1913, performing his black magic rituals and conjuring demons. Weird stuff still happens in the area apparently. Although she couldn't enter the property, she did spend time in nearby and picturesque Boleskine Cemetery, while her conspiracy theorist husband mulled over the mysterious events of the past.

I spent 2 months working in oman its an interesting and extremely hot place . did you notice all the hole in the rocks cliffs? They use to dig a hole and berry there dead in them. Probably ghost everywhere :s
I did not. That's pretty interesting. Although I guess most places bury people in the ground so is it much different? Unless you're cremated, you're rotting away somewhere I guess.
haha i guess so. but this are in the hills all around the city and suburbs. i was only in muscat tho. have fun :)
