Travel Digest

#1 Things never happen the same way twice

For our first featured post @guchtere takes us around New Zealand some more. First up is Cathedral Cove, arriving early in the morning and deciding to save the other bays for the way back, @guchtere manages to get to the cove whilst it's almost completely devoid of people. The beach itself is a miracle in terms of nature! A waterfall on the south side, a few caves with beaches hidden inside them and a giant white rock standing tall right in the ocean. After the beach started to get more crowded @guchtere decides to move on to the other bays, and they don't disappoint either, with rocks to climb on and snorkel fun to be had! What better way to end an already amazing day than by watching a live rugby match!

#2 Beautiful LECCE in Puglia ITALY- Quick Travel Tips and Local Offers

For our second featured post @vovidi takes us to Lecce, Italy. In a well made video we get shown around the must see places, from the Basilica - built in the typical yellow Lecce stones to the Cathedral on Piazza del Duomo. Or if you prefer even older, how about the Roman Amphiteatre or the Castle of Charles V. There are also two gates you should definitely check out, Porto San Biagio and Porto Napoli. To finish up the post we get some practical tips and a great interview with the airbnb host as well.

#3 Glacier Hike Adventure!

For the final featured post @eonwarped takes us to Iceland where we go glacier hiking! Thinking it to be a relatively leisurely hike, it feels a bit strange being handed a harness, crampons and an ice pick to make it up the glacier. After hiking for a bit, it becomes clear that the crampons are a huge help hiking upward. Getting higher up in the hike, it becomes more dangerous as there can be a chasm hidden behind a layer of snow. While the harness was never used, it seems likely that it had to be equipped for these kind of emergency situations! Eventually @eonwarped makes it to the ice wall which offers some amazing photo opportunities!
