#1 MACHU PICCHU - A DREAM THAT FINALLY CAME TRUE !
For our first featured post of today, @planetus is taking us to Machu Picchu, Peru. Whilst it's very easy to get objective information on Machu Picchu, @planetus does an amazing job from letting us feel the experience. Thick layers of clouds, with peaks sticking out of them and remote villages in green valleys, to say the route towards Machu Picchu is beautiful would be a severe understatement. In the valley below Machu Picchu a small tourist town has popped up, which makes it feel as if you're walking through a gift shop in order to start your way up to the ancient city. A little wary of the expected big flood of tourists, @planetus is happy to find out, the amount of tourists barely take away from the incredible scenery. Just standing there makes you wonder how the lives of the people who lived there centuries ago must have been!

For our second post @derangedvisions takes us once more to the Serengeti of Tanzania. And what better way to start off than with a beautiful sunrise, the sky slowly lighting up in an array of colors you would not deem possible. This was after camping out, right there in between all the wildlife. The first place after waking up is an area known for lionesses sleeping. On arrival, they were just waking up making for an incredible sight. On the way back they run into some elephants as well, in their powerful nonchalance they just slowly wander past, not really caring about what gets in their way. From here on we visit the Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera - 100 sq miles! Inside of it it's brimming with life, including the so called big five: lion, rhino, buffalo, elephant and leopard. Of course @derangedvisions puts most of them on camera in this post as well, for all of us to enjoy!

Last up for today @mazz takes us to the Great Smoky National Park in Tenessee, USA. On a photography hunt, we get to see one stunning flower species right after the next. Driving and camping out along the route, snapping multiple incredible shots. Eventually arriving at the Anthony Creek trail, which completely looked and felt different from the last time @mazz was there. The forest floor is blanketed with wild flowers for the entire trail, making it stunning to say the least. During the last night, the wind got so strong that the tree tops above the tent would move so intensely, they started to hit the tent. Luckily the tent survived the night and so did @mazz.

Thanks for the mention! I have a suggestion, though. The honorable mentions do not look sexy now, you know? For instance, as a reader I'd not click to see what the hell Armero, Colombia is. However, if you'd keep the original title Volcanic Devastation of Armero, Colombia, well, I'd certainly be more interested in that as a reader.
I understand what you're saying, but I think a consistent format is generally speaking better. Some people have very lengthy, bad formatted, or with prefixed text (e.g.: Part 5:),- titles. That's why we decided to to put a simple focus on the location. I'll check if I can make the HMs a bit more attractive though. Won't be in the next few days as I'm finally on the road myself again, haha!
I believe, a very short description could do the trick. True, no need to copy the title, but just to clarify, WTF this Armero is, for instance. The readers do not know that, neither they care unless you tell them what to expect. Is it some lame bullshit like going to the mall with mom or an expedition to a ghost town, the current titling scheme does not discriminate and that's not a good thing.
Great curation work!!! Congratulations to all the winners .. and as usual, happy to see us under the honorable mentions!!!
I agree with you I do not need to repeat what you wrote @for91days @steemitworldmap makes a very good job
