Museum Series - What's The Inside Like: Heritage Village
Last summer we took the kids road tripping to Grande Prairie, Alberta, and visited their museum called Grande Prairie Museum and Heritage Village.
This museum consists two areas of inside museum (Pioneer Museum), which I've already posted, here, and outside museum (Heritage Village), which I will be sharing now.
At Heritage Village, there are buildings in smaller size than regular building would be, of houses, school, fire station, church, barn, post office, even ice house - where they made ice blocks, and some more. Inside each building are displayed (household) items from the past, some are authentic, some are replicas.
You can also find old cars, garden, and real fur.
Quite a few of the buildings are log houses, they are wonderful. This village was the pioneer village of Grande Prairie, a couple of the original house numbers and street signs are also displayed at this village.
My kids really enjoyed this 'museum' especially my then 3 yo son. He run around and tripped, cut and bruised his knee and hands, so that was time to head back to hotel for us 😌
