Museum Series - What's The Inside Like: Pioneer Museum
Last summer we took the kids road tripping to Grande Prairie, Alberta, and visited their museum called Grande Prairie Museum and Heritage Village. This museum consists two areas of inside museum (Pioneer Museum) and outside museum (Heritage Village), which I will have to post separately as we took tons of pictures that are totally worth to share.
Inside the Pioneer Museum, you can find permanent collections and exhibitions of palaenthology, archaeology, natural history, human history, curios and collections, plus the ongoing exhibitions which of course change from time to time.
Just like any other museums, you can also find souvenir shops for some memories, but the visitor center once awhile would give out free goodies too, such as a pin, a magnet and whatnot.
So many trinkets displayed at this museum, they are super interesting for kids and adults to check out, like my 7 yo and then 3 yo sons really enjoyed their visit, looking around at the museum.
One thing that always amaze me whenever I visit (any) museums, how so many things that you grew up with and thought already extinct, can be found at museums. Who kept them, who donated them, just wow!
